  • Patent number: 11799419
Abstract: In a detection condition determining method, a control center obtains a working parameter value of a target photovoltaic device in a first time length closest to a current time point, where the working parameter value of the target photovoltaic device may be provided for the control center by a photovoltaic inverter coupled to the target photovoltaic device. The control center detects the target photovoltaic device in response to the control center determining, based on the working parameter value, that an environmental parameter value of the target photovoltaic device meets an environmental parameter threshold. Using the method helps reduce operation and maintenance costs of a photovoltaic power station.

  • Patent number: 11769908
Abstract: Presented are new, earth-abundant lithium superionic conductors, Li3Y(PS4)2 and Li5PS4Cl2, that emerged from a comprehensive screening of the Li—P—S and Li-M-P—S chemical spaces. Both candidates are derived from the relatively unexplored quaternary silver thiophosphates. One key enabler of this discovery is the development of a first-of-its-kind high-throughput first principles screening approach that can exclude candidates unlikely to satisfy the stringent Li+ conductivity requirements using a minimum of computational resources. Both candidates are predicted to be synthesizable, and are electronically insulating. Systems and methods according to present principles enable new, all-solid-state rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

  • Patent number: 11721976
Abstract: A power distribution system configured as a radial network includes buses having respective voltages, and distribution lines having respective currents. The radial network interconnects the buses with the distribution lines in a tree-like manner. A bus has a link to at least two distribution lines. The bus voltages and distribution line currents are determined by a processing circuitry configured to receive a Branch Matrix (BM), iteratively determine currents for the distribution lines and voltages for each of the buses until a difference is below a predetermined tolerance, and output final bus voltages and final distribution line currents. The circuitry iteratively determines the currents by determining a current matrix (CM) using the BM, and by determining the currents for the plurality of distribution lines in a zig zag manner over the matrix elements in the CM. The system finds a solution using fewer iterations than the backward forward sweep method.

  • Patent number: 11719761
Abstract: A system and method for measuring a capacitance value of a capacitor are provided. In embodiments, a resistor is coupled to a terminal of the capacitor. A difference in voltage at the terminal between a first time and a second time during a discharge routine of the capacitor is measured. The discharge routine includes sinking a current through a discharge circuit coupled to the resistor from first to second. Integration of a difference in voltage at terminals of the resistor during the discharge routine between the first and second times is also measured. The capacitance value is computed based on the measured difference in voltage, the measured integration, and the resistance value of the resistor. The health of the capacitor is determined based on a difference between the computed capacitance value and a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11710965
Abstract: Methods for implementing power delivery transactions between a buyer and a seller of electrical energy supplied to an electrical grid by an integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) of a RES-ESS facility are provided. Estimated total potential output of the RES is compared to a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit to identify potential RES overgeneration, and the buyer is charged if potential RES overgeneration is less than potential overgeneration during one or more retrospective time windows. The method provides a basis for the RES-ESS facility owner to be paid for an estimated amount of energy that did not get stored as a result of a grid operator not fully discharging an ESS prior to the start of a new day.
