Abstract: The automated teller machine that conducts transactions by a customer operation is provided. The automated teller machine comprises a customer service part configured to receive customer operations; an input pocket; a media recognizer configured to recognize the medium; a first storage storing the medium; a discharge pocket configured to place the medium delivered from the first storage so that the customer can take the medium out; a first transport path that connect the input pocket, the media recognizer, the first storage, and the discharge pocket to transport the medium; a second storage storing a collected medium that is forgotten to be taken out from the discharge pocket by the customer; and a second transport path connecting the second storage to the first transport path, wherein the second storage is arranged above the first transport paths and on an opposite side of the customer service part.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of security systems and discloses a tamper detection device. The device (100) comprises at least one transducer (106,110), a power supply unit (114), a logical gate (112), a processing unit (104), and, a tamper tag 102). The transducer (106,110) generates a trigger signal upon detection of a tamper event. The logical gate (112) is operable in an open state or a closed state. The processing unit (104) generates a tamper detection signal for changing the state of the logical gate (112) upon receiving the trigger signal or upon detecting loss of power supply from the power supply unit (114). The change in state of logical gate (112) causes a tamper flag value stored in the tamper tag (102) to change, thereby indicating a tampered status to a reader scanning the tamper tag (102). The device (100) detects a tamper event even if the device (100) is not damaged/broken during tampering.

Abstract: A paper sheet storage apparatus (1) includes: a placement mount (10) on which bills (B), i.e., an example of paper sheets, are placed; a leading-edge position restriction guide (20) that restricts the position of the leading edge portion of a bill (B) in an entering direction (D) in which the bill (B) advances when being transported onto the placement mount (10); and a sensor (30) that detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) for bills (B) that is located above the placement mount (10). The sensor (30) detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) by using detection light (L) emitted to a space between a first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the leading-edge position restriction guide (20) from the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) and a second position (P2) below the first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) from the leading-edge position restriction guide (20).

Abstract: Disclosed herein are financial article handling devices comprising an external aperture connected to a rotary table. The rotary table can contain two or more financial article handling units disposed on the rotary table, each of which can be configured to form an interface with the external aperture. The financial article handling devices can receive an indication from a first financial article handling unit that the first financial article handling unit is no longer functional, disconnect the first financial article handling unit from the external aperture, and articulate the rotary table such that a second financial article handling unit is in communication with the external aperture.

Abstract: Methods of scheduling maintenance on a plurality of automated testing apparatus and possibly also on ancillary test processing apparatus are provided. The methods include inputting identification data on the plurality of automated testing apparatus to be maintained, inputting maintenance requirement data for the maintenance of each of the apparatus, inputting demand constraint data, operating on the identification data, maintenance requirement data, and demand constraint data using an optimization program, such as mixed integer linear programming (MILP), subject to demand constraints and at least one objective, and outputting an optimized maintenance schedule for a planning period. Systems and apparatus configured to carry out the methods are also provided, as are other aspects.

The card interface is electrically connected to the processing module, and a SIM card or a memory card may be inserted into the card interface. The card interface includes N springs, where N>1; when a memory card is inserted into the card interface, the memory card is electrically connected to the processing module; and when a SIM card is inserted into the card interface, the SIM card is electrically connected to the processing module, and one metal pin of the SIM card is electrically connected to a first spring in the N springs and one spring adjacent to the first spring. The processing module is configured to determine, based on at least a level of the first spring, whether an inserted card is a SIM card or a memory card.

Abstract: A scanning system includes a scanning structure configured to rotate about at least one first scanning axis; a driver configured to drive the scanning structure about the at least one first scanning axis and detect a position of the scanning structure with respect to the at least one first scanning axis during movement of the scanning structure; a segmented pixel sensor including a plurality of sub-pixel elements arranged in a pixel area; and a controller configured to selectively activate and deactivate the plurality of sub-pixel elements into at least one active cluster and at least one deactivated cluster to form at least one active pixel from the at least one active cluster, receive first position information from the driver indicating the detected position of the scanning structure, and dynamically change a clustering of activated sub-pixel elements and a clustering of deactivated sub-pixel elements based on the first position information.

Abstract: Application integration for contactless payments is described. In an example, a payment making platform can provide a transaction code to a payment processing platform. The transaction code can be presented at a point-of-sale of a transaction between a customer and a merchant associated with the payment processing platform. Upon detecting an interaction between the transaction code and a computing device of the customer, the payment making platform and the payment processing platform can exchange data to enable the customer to participate in the transaction via the computing device of the customer. In some examples, the payment making platform and the payment processing platform can process a contactless payment for the transaction by transferring funds associated with an account of the customer from the payment making platform to the payment processing platform for depositing into an account of the merchant.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a system that may receive first level authentication data from a first user, identify a first user device associated with the first user, and determine whether a current location of the first user device is within a predetermined proximity of a first computing device. In response to the determination, the system may detect one or more objects within the predetermined proximity of the first computing device using the one or more positional sensors. The system may determine that at least one of the one or more objects is associated with a human, and in response, trigger a security measure. The system may transmit an indication of the triggered security measure to the first computing device, and may transmit instructions to the first user device configured to cause the first user device to provide an alert to the first user.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, comprising receiving an order associated with a user, and capturing information associated with a physical attribute of the user; for the order being completed, performing a matching operation on the physical attribute of the user and information associated with a region of the user that includes the physical attribute of the user and respective physical attributes of other users, to determine a closest match; and generating an output that identifies the user associated with the closest match in the information associated with the region of the user, and providing the output to a server to deliver the order to the user.

Abstract: Provided herein is a system involving the utilization of a low-power device that is programmed to capture data from a source, whether from a sensor or other type of data generating component, with the data capture and/or further data transfer set within a specific time period and further data storage platform having programmed storage compartments uniformly set to meet the exact date and time for which the data capture and/or transfer was initially undertaken. Having a known value of storage capacity for each timed data packet in this manner, the ability to ensure veracity of the transferred data is provided since any result that does not meet the time frame and thus the storage capacity set from the programmed platform itself will result in a quarantine of any problematic data packet, thus allowing for filtering and review of any unexpected data captured and transferred in such a manner.

Subsequently, the cash handling device may send the deposit transaction record to the banking server.

The first part number of the first surgical asset is stored in a non-transitory computer-readable medium. This method enables information about surgical assets used in the field to be transferred from machine-readable objects into electronic data stores efficiently, effectively, and semi-automatically.
