  • Patent number: 9504129
Abstract: In order to regulate an illuminance, an actual value of a sensor (3) is queried, said value being dependent on the illuminance to be regulated and being regulated to a setpoint value. In a control step, an electronic computing device (11) determines an actuating step for an illuminant (2) on the basis of said actual value and a parameter value of a control parameter. The electronic computing device (11) determines a new parameter value of the control parameter for a subsequent control step on the basis of a first actual value which is received before the corresponding control step, and a second actual value which is determined after the corresponding control step.

  • Patent number: 9496291
Abstract: A pulse is inputted to TFTs 101 and 104 so that the TFTs would turn ON and then potential of a node ? rises. When the potential of the node ? reaches (VDD?VthN), the node ? became in a floating state. Accordingly, a TFT 105 then turns ON, and potential of an output node rises as a clock signal reaches the level H. On the other hand, potential of a gate electrode of the TFT 105 further rises due to an operation of capacitance 107 as the potential of the output node rises, so that the potential of the output node would be higher than (VDD+VthN). Thus, the potential of the output node rises to VDD without voltage drop caused by a threshold of the TFT 105.

  • Patent number: 9485826
Abstract: A lighting device includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) configured to emit a light. The lighting device further includes a color controller configured to repeatedly assert and deactivate a control signal to control whether one or more LEDs of the plurality of LEDs are turned on or turned off. The color controller asserts the control signal for a first time period and deactivates the control signal for a second time period, where a color of the light emitted by the plurality of LEDs depends on the first time period and the second time period. The color controller changes the color of the light emitted by the plurality of LEDs by changing one or both of the first time period and the second time period.

  • Patent number: 9485818
Abstract: Current spikes may occur when dynamically shortening a light emitting diode chain. These current spikes can be avoided by using a voltage control loop to regulate the output of the LED driver just prior to the transition period. Specifically, regulation of the LED driver is switched from a current control loop (e.g., a control loop regulating the output current of the led driver) to a voltage control loop (e.g., a control loop regulating the output voltage of the led driver) just before the LED chain is shortened. The voltage control loop then reduces the voltage of the LED driver to a target voltage prior to shortening the LED chain, thereby allowing the LED chain to be shortened without eliciting a current spike.
