Abstract: An approach is provided to control digital imaging system. In the approach, isolated camera settings pertaining to a first camera body are configured. The first camera body is included in a camera group that includes two or more camera bodies. Each of the cameras in the camera group is controlled by a human operator. Shared camera settings that pertain to each of the cameras in the camera group are also configured. When an adjustment is received at the camera body from the human operator, the approach checks whether the adjustment is a shared group setting. If the adjustment is a shared setting, the system wirelessly transmits the adjustment over the wireless transmitter/receiver to the other camera bodies included in the camera group.

Abstract: In a state in which an APD filter is present on an optical axis of an imaging optical system, a digital camera sets the maximum movable amount of a focus lens to one side of an optical axis direction to a value that is less than that in a state in which the APD filter is not present on the optical axis of the imaging optical system and moves the focus lens in the range of the set maximum movable amount.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus, comprising: a receiving unit receiving a first image and image-capturing information associated with the first image; a determining unit determining, based on the image-capturing information, whether or not the first image is an image of a subject image in a view point direction corresponding to the aperture mask, using an output signal of an image sensor that includes a pixel array including first parallax pixels having the aperture mask with asymmetric directional properties in the long axis and short axis with respect to incident light flux of a single optical system and positioned to permit a portion of the light flux to pass; and an outputting unit outputting a corrected first image by carrying out a correction process having different frequency properties between the long axis direction and the short axis direction on the subject image in an unfocused region of the first image.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises a histogram generating section for generating a histogram by counting a frequency value for each gradation of a predetermined number of gradations as brightness distribution of input image data, a distribution processing section for distributing a count value of the histogram to adjacent gradations, a cumulative histogram generating section for generating a cumulative histogram by accumulating the histograms obtained by the histogram generating section from a low gradation side, and a gradation correction processing section for performing contrast correction by using the cumulative histogram, wherein the distribution processing section fixes a distribution amount to the predetermined number of gradations when distributing the count value to the adjacent gradations.
Abstract: Provided are a semiconductor device capable of detecting a light of each color with high accuracy without using a color filter, particularly enhancing detection accuracy of charges obtained by photoelectric conversion of a long-wavelength light, and manufacturing and control methods thereof. The semiconductor device has a p type semiconductor substrate, and first, second and third pixel regions. These regions each include a p type well region in the p type semiconductor substrate and an n type region configuring a pn junction therewith. The p type well region of the first pixel region is thinner, from the main surface to the lowermost portion, than that of the second and third pixel regions. On the side opposite to the main surface of the p type well region of the first and second pixel regions, a buried p type well region contiguous to the p type well region is further placed.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus capable of generating a plurality of output images having different focus positions by reconstructing an input image, includes a storage unit storing image pickup condition information, and an image processing unit generating the output image from the input image using the image pickup condition information, and the image processing unit obtains the input image that is information of an object space viewed from a plurality of viewpoints that is obtained via an imaging optical system and an image pickup element having a plurality of pixels, calculates an average pixel value of a pixel group of the input image of the same region, and substitutes each pixel value of the pixel group by the average pixel value, and performs combination such that the pixels substituted by the average pixel value are shifted from each other to generate the output image.
