  • Patent number: 12131541
Abstract: This relates generally to a method and a system for spatio-temporal polarization video analysis. The spatio-temporal polarization data is analyzed for a computer vision application such as object detection, image classification, image captioning, image reconstruction or image inpainting, face recognition and action recognition. Numerous classical and deep learning methods have been applied on polarimetric data for polarimetric imaging analysis, however, the available pre-trained models may not be directly suitable on polarization data, as polarimetric data is more complex. Further compared to analysis of the polarimetric images, a significant number of actions can be detected by polarimetric videos, hence analyzing polarimetric videos is more efficient. The disclosure is a spatio-temporal analysis of polarization video.

The semiconductor device includes first and second cells, a first circuit, and first to third wirings. Each of the first and second cells includes a capacitor, and a first terminal of each of the capacitors is electrically connected to the third wiring. Each of the first and second cells has a function of feeding a current based on a potential held at a second terminal of the capacitor, to a corresponding one of the first and second wirings. The first circuit is electrically connected to the first and second wirings and stores currents I1 and I2 flowing through the first and second wirings. When the potential of the third wiring changes and accordingly the amount of current of the first wiring changes from I1 to I3 and the amount of current of the second wiring changes from I2 to I4, the first circuit generates a current with an amount I1?I2?I3+I4.

  • Patent number: 12105401
Abstract: Provided are a device and a method by which high-precision auto focus (AF) processing can be performed while a focus lens or a zoom lens is being operated. An interchangeable lens acquires position information regarding a focus lens and a zoom lens at a predetermined time interval during an exposure time period of detection information acquisition pixels for use in calculation of a defocus amount (DF), and outputs the position information to an imaging device. The imaging device calculates the defocus amount (DF) by using information regarding the detection information acquisition pixels, calculates a reference focus lens position (Ref_fc) by using points, on a cam curve, corresponding to the inputted lens position information, calculates a target focus lens position (Tgt_fc) in an in-focus position, from the reference focus lens position (Ref_fc) and the defocus amount (DF), and outputs the target focus lens position (Tgt_fc) to the interchangeable lens.

  • Patent number: 12101557
Abstract: A method and apparatus of tracking poses of a rolling-shutter camera in an augmented reality (AR) system is provided. The method and apparatus use camera information and inertial sensor readings from Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to estimate the pose of the camera at a reference line. Thereafter, relative pose changes at scanlines may be calculated using the inertial sensor data. The estimated reference pose of the camera is then further refined based on the visual information from the camera, the relative pose changes and the optimized reference line pose of a previous image. Thereafter, the estimate of the scanline poses may be updated using the relative pose changes obtained in the earlier steps.

  • Patent number: 12094170
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for calibrating camera and measuring offsets for reducing distortions on images. The calibrating includes aligning an on-board image sensor and a lens barrel using a kinematic mount and affixing the onboard image sensor and the lens barrel to assemble a camera. The kinematic mount provides a predetermined number of degrees of freedom in aligning the on-board image sensor and the lens barrel. A device embeds the camera. The measuring includes receiving the camera in the kinematic mount and measuring an opposing pair of offset values as measured optical centers from the lens optical axis to the image sensor pointing reference at yaw orientations of the camera at 0 degree and 180 degrees. The method determines a total offset value by taking an average of the pair and canceling the rotationally symmetrical error. The method uses the offset value for reducing distortions on images by de-warping.
