  • Patent number: 6755418
Abstract: A board game includes a game board with four food groups represented on four sides by individual spaces for particular food items in the food group. The object is to complete the preparation of a food item from each group. Each space assigns a preparation time for the food item, and further time adjustments can be made through “Simmer” and “Boil” cards having time adjustments and other instructions, and by landing on a “Stew” space that adds time. Rolling numbered dice and landing on a food item starts the preparation or process. The player must then land on a “Get Cooking” space and roll a pair of dice with time amounts displayed, with the displayed time amounts being subtracted from the accumulated preparation time. The first to complete this process for four food items wins.

  • Patent number: 6588753
Abstract: A variation on checkers style games wherein each player has an initial holding of twelve playing pieces. The board includes an array of four columns and eight rows of playing locations, wherein one playing location may be occupied by only one playing piece. The goal of the game for each player is to achieve removal of one's own playing pieces by forcing the opponent to jump one's own pieces. Playing pieces, which initially cannot move backwardly and laterally, are promoted to be able to move laterally once moving past the forwardmost row of their initial board positions, and to be able to move backwardly when they reach a corresponding row of the opponent's playing pieces. Jumps are generally mandatory, although players have the option of accepting a penalty in the form of restoring playing pieces to the board in place of making an otherwise mandatory jump.

  • Patent number: 6575466
Abstract: A game of chance. A plurality of representations of cards comprising Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and at least one number card are provided. Each representation of a card has subordinate characteristics consisting of suits and face values. A point value is assigned to each representation of a card such that Aces are assigned the highest point value. Minimum requirements are established for adding the point values of representations of cards based on the at least a selected one of the subordinate characteristics. A set of four representations of cards are randomly distributed to at least one player. A total value for the set is then calculated by summing the point values of the representations of cards in the set meeting the minimum requirements. • Patent number: 6557852
Abstract: Cubic senary (base 6) dice uniquely harness the power of the base 6 number system and generate random numbers from a predetermined set of consecutive numbers, each tending to occur with the same relative frequency. Cubic senary dice have numerical values corresponding to the place values of the base 6 number system, and face values corresponding to the senary notational digits (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Notational digits on cubic senary dice have two values: an intrinsic value—which is that signified by the isolated symbol itself, and a local value—the value possessed by the numeral by virtue of the power of its die, 60, 61, 62, etc. The magnitude of the senary number cast is a sum of products involving powers of the number 6. A random senary number is obtained by casting the dice and reading the notational digits returned from each die cast, in order, from the highest to the lowest power die. The random senary number is converted to its decimal equivalent with a calculator.

  • Patent number: 6550771
Abstract: A method of playing an object selection game (20), includes providing a set of objects containing a plurality of different individual objects, wherein each individual object has an order value in accordance with an ordering rule. A subset of the set of objects is dealt to a player in accordance with a dealing rule. A portion of the subset of objects is revealed to the player in accordance with a revealing rule. The player then selects any previously unselected object from the subset of objects in accordance with a selecting rule. After each selection, a terminating rule is used to test whether play shall stop, or whether additional objects are selected. The terminating rule stops play if objects are not selected in proper sequential order in accordance with the ordering rule. After play is stopped, a score is computed in accordance with a scoring rule. In preferred embodiments, the set of objects are playing cards, and a wager is placed on the outcome of the game.
