Abstract: The present invention is an electrically conductive coating composition comprising, as indispensable components, a quaternary ammonium polymer and a polyvalent metal salt. As the quaternary ammonium polymer there can be preferably used a polymer containing at least 30 weight % of quaternary ammonium monomer unit such as 2-methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride or 2-methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium methylsulfate. As the polyvalent metal salt there can be used sulfate, hydrochloride, nitrate or the like of at least one polyvalent metal selected from the group consisting of iron, copper, cobalt, calcium, zinc, lead, nickel, manganese, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, cadmium, chromium, barium and tin. The electrically conductive coating composition of the present invention is extremely excellent in water retention characteristics and therefore has sufficient electric conductivity under circumstances of low humidity even at low coating weight.
Abstract: In a light transmissive epoxy resin composition comprising (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a curing agent are blended (C) an organic phosphorus anti-discoloring agent and (D) silica-titania glass beads surface treated with an organic silicon compound. The composition restrains coloring in composition form and discoloration in cured form while curing into clear low stressed products having high light transmittance. Optical semiconductor devices encapsulated with the cured epoxy resin composition are reliable.

Abstract: A biaxially oriented polyester film containing a specific calcium carbonate is described. The calcium carbonate contained in the film is specified by its vaterite form, its average particles size of 0.07 to 1.5 .mu.m, and its particle size distribution ratio of not more than 2.00. The biaxially oriented polyester film containing such specific calcium carbonate is excellent in both the running property and wear resistance, and suitable for the use as a base of magnetic recording media.
Abstract: Provided are carbon-fiber-reinforced polyimide resin compositions having excellent mechanical strength. The compositions are formed of (a) 5-50 parts by weight of carbon fibers, which have been obtained by coating starting carbon fibers at surfaces thereof with an aromatic polysulfone resin and then heating the thus-coated carbon fibers at 300.degree.-400.degree. C., and (b) 95-50 parts by weight of a polyimide resin which perferably have recurring units of following formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents a specific divalent radical and R represents a particular tetra-valent radical.
