  • Patent number: 4013328
Abstract: A dental treatment environment having dental equipment coordinated relative to a reclining patient chair in a manner to provide minimum doctor time and motion and maximum efficiency. The chair has a patient headrest located adjacent a cabinet. An articulated first arm adjustable vertically and horizontally is movably mounted on the cabinet. The arm carries a tray useable for dental hand instruments and slow speed hand piece. An extendible and contractible second arm which moves up, down, side to side is attached to an upright support and has connected at its outer end a holder for dental high speed air turbines and air-water syringe. Both the tray and holder are movable to locations relative to the headrest whereby the transfer zone between tray and holder and patient is of minimum area. An operating light unit and its holding members are mounted on top of the support. A doctor's sink cabinet is located adjacent the doctor's side of the chair.

  • Patent number: 4012814
Abstract: A hose clamp body for use with a bolt having a shank and a head. A surface on the body grips the hose and an opening generally transverse to a first surface on the body receives the bolt shank. The bolt head is provided with a flat side surface laterally spaced a predetermined distance from the diametrically opposite side of the shank. Provided on the body is a second surface which intersects the first surface and extends away therefrom to an upper edge to form an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the opening. The predetermined distance being less than the transverse distance between the upper edge and the diametrically opposite side of the opening and greater than the transverse distance between the intersection and the diametrically opposite side of the opening so that the flat side of the bolt head engages the body second surface before the bolt head contacts the first surface to prevent the bolt from turning relative to the body.

  • Patent number: 4009918
Abstract: Panel legs are provided to support one or more connected cabinets in a row and to raise and lower the cabinet to a pre-selected height. Each leg is relatively thin and is comprised of a fixed, lower frame adapted to rest on the floor and a moveable upper portion connected to the cabinet. The moveable upper portion is raised and lowered with respect to the fixed lower portion by means of a lever pivoted at one end to the fixed frame and at the other end adapted to be set into any one of a number of vertically spaced notches formed in a fixed vertical post forming part of the fixed leg section. The lever connects to the moveable upper portion of the leg and, by operation of the lever, the upper portion of the leg, together with any cabinets attached thereto, will be raised or lowered to a selected height. The working mechanism is contained within the leg and is normally hidden from view by means of a removable front panel.

  • Patent number: 4005919
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a composite structure for use in thermal insulation panels, especially those panels used in refrigerator cabinets. The composite structure comprises a layer of a gas filled cellular insulation material combined with a layer of impact resistant thermoplastic sheet material, wherein a film of a rubber modified high nitrile polymer containing at least 45% by weight of nitrile monomer units (calculated as acrylonitrile) is interposed between the gas filled cellular material and the thermoplastic sheet. The rubber modified high nitrile polymer film presents an effective barrier to the gas in the cellular material and provides improved impact strength in the composite while retaining good rigidity of the composite structure.

  • Patent number: 3999822
Abstract: A cabinet table includes a center chest which has a pair of substantially vertical sidewalls, a table top mounted on the chest which has a portion overhanging at least one of the side walls and a substantially semi-circular top plate which is pivotably attachable to the support plate, and movable from a retracted position between the portion of the table top overhanging one of the side walls and the support plate of the bracket member to an extended position displaced by about 180.degree. from the retracted position. The top surfaces of the portion overhanging at least one of the side walls and the semi-circular top plate are substantially defined by a plane in that extended position of the top plate.

  • Patent number: 3994547
Abstract: A single point suspension device for filing sheet material in parallel vertical planes within or without a cabinet construction in which a horizontal support bar has a sidewardly opening longitudinal recess defined in part by a sidewardly extending hook and in which is received a suspension member attached to upper edge margins of sheet material to be filed. The suspension member includes a sidewardly directed recess defined in part by a hook, the hooks and recesses of the suspension member and the support bar being correspondingly configured for substantially complete interlocking interengagement along correspondingly configured surfaces and whereby the interengagement is accomplished with relative horizontal movement of the bar and suspension member, and wherein the interlocking engagement restricts angular relative movement of the support bar and suspension member.
