Abstract: A model of human female breast for teaching breast examination comprises an opaque, elastomeric membrane simulating skin, a transparent backing member connected to the opaque membrane to define a chamber therebetween, first means simulating adipose tissue disposed in the chamber, at least one second means simulating a tumor within the chamber and opaquing means overlying and being removably attached to the transparent backing member. In addition, the present invention is directed to a method of training a person to detect breast tumors by palpating said model.

Abstract: A documentation system that allows adequate control of documentation in addition to an assessment of skills of the professionals involved includes a plurality of sections, each section dedicated to a particular body system. Each of the sections has disposed therein a plurality of peel-off labels, each label providing a series of assessment steps. Each of the labels has a distinctive color associated with the particular section that it is disposed in, with the text also being in the associated distinctive color. A diagnostic label is also provided which has the title thereof in the distinctive color with the type thereof being in black and white. The labels are operable to be removed and temporarily placed on the chart of the patient during an acute episode, incident or accident.

Abstract: An artist's sketching device wherein a sketch pad is bound to a back which presents a viewing window positioned adjacent the pad. A transparent sheet secured to the back has an upper portion over-laying the window, and a lower portion which is liftable so that pages of the pad can be placed beneath it and any single page upon it. Upper proportioning lines displayed in the upper portion of the sheet define sections of the window. Lower proportioning lines on the lower portion of the sheet are discernible through a page residing thereover to define areas of the page which correspond to proportionally similar sections of the window.

Abstract: An educational amusement apparatus forms a large building structure having an external appearance simulating a man and a woman resting partially under a blanket, wherein riders are taken through a succession of cavities that simulate internal organs of the man and woman. Entrance to a head chamber simulating an oral cavity is achieved by a stairway supported by a simulated arm of the man, the oral cavity having displays of teeth in normal and abnormal conditions, and serving as a staging area for a train to carry the riders.

Abstract: A device for viewing architectural scale models from the same eye level perspective of a normal sized person viewing the full scale buildings. The device comprises a horizontal base component having a mirror thereon and a vertical component adjustably mounted to the base component with a second mirror mounted on the vertical component. An image of a model placed in front of the device is reflected from the second mirror on to the horizontal mirror. A viewfinder is formed on the vertical component so that a person looking through the viewfinder can observe the reflected image of the model. The device includes adjustable joints to adjust the device to a range of scale settings.

Abstract: There are disclosed foamable compositions comprising at least one polyisocyanate, at least one polyhydroxy compound and at least one blowing agent having evenly distributed therethrough discrete particles of cellular rubber. The resulting urethane foam-cellular rubber is suitable for use as a target backstop, e.g., archery target backstop.

Abstract: A watering system display stand comprises a display panel having a variety of garden plants graphically displayed thereon and a watering system, including a plurality of authentic interconnected irrigation components, mounted on the display panel to visually portray a typical mock, instructional watering system for the garden plants. A plurality of trays are mounted vertically below the display panel to retain corresponding irrigation components therein for purchase by a consumer. The trays are numerically coded to match corresponding codes imprinted adjacent to corresponding irrigation components mounted on the display panel. Rolls of porting and drip tubing are mounted on the display stand, below the trays. The trays are formed from suitably scored paperboard blanks that are folded to form interlocked panels.

Abstract: A table setting display guide for coordinating table settings and dinnerware plate patterns. The table setting display guide includes a first page which illustrates at least one table setting having an opening at the position where a dinnerware plate would be set. A second page is provided which illustrates a plurality of dinnerware plate patterns, which patterns are sized to correspond to the size of the opening in the first page. The opening in the first page is selectively positionable on the second page to permit viewing of each dinnerware plate pattern in conjunction with the table setting.

Abstract: A method of demonstrating the advantage in production efficiency of non-synchronous conveyor lines over synchronous conveyor lines. There is provided an elongated diagram illustrating parallel conveyor lines with an equal number of paired, opposed operator work stations in each line, one line representing a synchronous line and the other line representing a non-synchronous line, the non-synchronous line being provided with queue patterns between each work station. There is an electrically controlled work station box between each pair of opposed synchronous and non-synchronous work stations on the mat, each box having a set of "go/no-go" visual indicators. A signal controller is coupled to each of the operating station boxes, the controller being programmed to provide control signals in a random fashion to each of the paired work stations. A plurality of workpieces are provided for each conveyor line.

Abstract: A device to aid in the teaching of a good or correct golf swing. The device is a generally wedge shaped bar which, when attached to the bottom outer edge of the shoe, causes the foot to tilt inwardly and forwardly simultaneously. The golfer thereby achieves a correct golf stance which is vital to a good golf swing. Through use of the device in practice over a period of time, the leg and foot muscles become toned or conditioned to automatically assume the correct stance when the golfer addresses the ball.

Abstract: A manikin for practicing artificial respiration by the mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose method and comprising an inflatable lung element, a chest element and a head element having a cavity containing a replaceable bag surrounded by an elastically expandable cover having a predetermined internal volume in its state of rest, the bag having an air inlet which is airtightly connected with a replaceable mouth and nose element and the cavity in the head element being connected with the lung element through an air duct. The manikin does not malfunction in case of a leakage in the secondary air system.
