  • Patent number: 11432336
Abstract: An apparatus implements methods for random access in a wireless communication system using beamforming. A Subscriber Station (SS) measures a best downlink transmission beam among downlink transmission beams transmitted from a Base Station (BS), and transmits Random Access Channel (RACH) information, which includes indication information indicating the best downlink transmission beam, to the BS. The BS receives RACH information which includes indication information indicating a best downlink transmission beam among downlink transmission beams, and detects a RACH sequence and the best downlink transmission beam from the received RACH information.

  • Patent number: 11405162
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) transmits uplink control information (UCI) and a base station receives UCI when the UE is configured to have a number of cells configured for operation with carrier aggregation (CA). The base station configures the UE with a code rate and the UE determines a maximum UCI payload to transmit in a subframe that results in a transmission code rate that is no larger than the configured code rate. For transmission of aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI), a number of triggering states depends on the number of cells.

  • Patent number: 11343206
Abstract: To facilitate redundancy in a distributed control system architecture used in an industrial automation environment, a user workstation is connected to multiple enterprise access switches. Separate physical connections established between an application server and the enterprise access switches are configured into a single virtual interface for the application server to provide physical media redundancy between the application server and the enterprise access switches. Redundancy switches are connected to the enterprise access switches and to a first LAN and a second LAN, and are assigned unique IP addresses but communicate using a same default gateway IP address to serve as redundant default gateways. The redundancy switches are configured with a redundancy protocol that enables transmission of duplicate data packets over the first LAN and the second LAN.

  • Patent number: 11316785
Abstract: A relay system includes a first relay device, a second relay device, a controller, and a route advertisement unit. The second relay device receives route advertisement from the first relay device. If an excess of a number of pieces of routing information registered in a routing table of the second relay device over a maximum number of pieces of routing information registrable in the routing table is predicted, the controller controls a number of pieces of routing information that are to undergo the route advertisement from the first relay device to the second relay device. The route advertisement unit performs the route advertisement to the second relay device after excluding, from pieces of routing information registered in a routing table of the first relay device, a piece of routing information set not to undergo the route advertisement as a result of the control of the number of pieces of routing information by the controller.

  • Patent number: 11296806
Abstract: A shared bus time interleaves 1 PPS signal and control and coordination information between a primary timing source and line cards that need to be synchronized using the 1 PPS signals. The shared bus utilizes 1 second frames divided into time slots. The 1 PPS signals are interleaved at predetermined locations in the frame so the delays introduced by interleaving the 1 PPS data in time can be precisely removed. While the bus is not being used for 1 PPS signals, the bus is available to send control and coordination information between the line cards and the primary timing source, avoiding the use of another system and increasing utilization of an available communication path.
