  • Patent number: 7137932
Abstract: A dumbbell adjusting system comprises an adjusting system, a stand, and a locking mechanism. The adjusting system includes two rods on the dumbbell's handle which move in and out of the handle to selectively engage the inner threaded through holes of the weights. The weights are configured to interlock with one another so as not to move independently. The locking mechanism unlocks the weights from the handle when the dumbbell is in the stand, allowing the user to select the desired weight, and locks the weights into the handle when the dumbbell is lifted out of the stand.

  • Patent number: 7128699
Abstract: A multi-functional leg stretching apparatus comprises an anchoring device made up of a positioning seat and a retaining block for the winding around of an elastic strap there-through, a fixed inner tube securely mounted at the anchoring device therein with both ends thereof symmetrically protruding outwards at both sides of the anchoring device, and a pair of movable outer tubes that, each having a pedal, and plate-like protective frame with an embedded support plate mounted thereto, are symmetrically joined to both ends of the fixed inner tube thereof. A resilient member is accommodated inside the fixed inner tube to extend outwards at both ends into which an abutting element is respectively adapted to abut against the adjacent outer edge of the movable outer tube thereby, permitting the abutting elements affected by the bounding force of the resilient member to flexibly draw and limit both movable outer tubes gathering towards the positioning seat of the anchoring device thereby.

  • Patent number: 7121987
Abstract: Disclosed is a golf exercise weight machine for anaerobically strengthening the large rotary muscles of the body—including the upper thigh, trunk and abdomen, and shoulders—most used in performing a golf swing. Preferably, the device includes a floor mounted base to which a yoke is rotatably attached to fit around the shoulders and arms of a user, so that during operation the user's body remains oriented in the proper swing position so as to mimic and improve the golf swing by strengthening the appropriate muscles. A weight stack provides variable resistance during the simulated golf swing, and the device offers adjustment over multiple degrees of freedom and it can accommodate both right-and left-handed swings.

  • Patent number: 7115073
Abstract: An exercise apparatus used to simulate skating or roller blading movement in a user includes a pair of sleds or shuttles which include a pedal adapted to support the foot of a user standing thereon. The shuttles are movable along a respective guide assembly consisting of one or more rails which curve away from each other extending from proximate forwardmost ends, outwardly and rearwardly. The rail assemblies are provided in a substantially mirror arrangement and curve downwardly from their respective forwardmost ends to a lowermost distal portion. A guide member is provided to assist in positioning and maintaining the shuttles in sliding movement along each guide assembly, whereby the reciprocal sliding movement of the shuttles along an associated guide assembly acts to guide the feet of the user in skating or roller blade movement.

  • Patent number: 7115078
Abstract: An orbital resistance-adjustable sphere exercising apparatus (10) that is designed to allow several exercise routines to be performed through several planes and range-of-motion at selectable friction levels. The apparatus (10) consists of four major elements: a sphere cradle (12), a sphere (116), a set of three sphere friction pads (42, 54, 94) and a telescoping pole assembly (126). The sphere cradle (12) includes a base (14) that has attached three sphere support frames (32, 52, 92) that are evenly spaced and that each have attached the friction pads (42, 54, 94) that interface with and support the sphere (116). The sphere cradle (12) also includes a sphere friction adjusting rod (104) that when rotated clockwise the three sphere support frames (32, 52, 92) simultaneously extend inward allowing the friction applied by the three friction pads (42, 54, 94) to the sphere (116) to increase. Likewise, when the rod (104) is rotated counter-clockwise the applied friction is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7115077
Abstract: An exercise rowing machine of which a main shank has thereon a seat slidable relatively thereto, the shank has on its front end two lateral pedals, and has on its front and rear ends respectively two supporting racks, and has therebeneath at its central area a connecting seat pivotally connected with one end of an adapter of which the other end is connected with a buffer, so that the adapter can be waved to and fro by a force. The adapter connects a transverse rod of which two ends respectively pivotally connect two operating rods that each has an upper and a lower section bending inwards one relative to the other for an obtuse angle; the operating rods are provided symmetrically at the two lateral sides of the shank, thereby when the machine is rowed forwards and rearwards, touching of the body of a user can be avoided; and when the machine is folded and collapsed about the shank which is being as a middle line, storing and transporting spaces can be effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 7112165
Abstract: An exercise machine comprising a weighted spool assembly having a shaft that freely rotates upon bearings. To accelerate the weighted spool assembly, a user applies a pulling force to a strap assembly. With the strap assembly in a coiled position, the user applies the pulling force causing the weighted spool assembly to rotate in a first direction, uncoiling the strap assembly, until the length of the strap assembly is exhausted. Once exhausted, the weighted spool assembly continues to rotate in the first direction causing the strap assembly to coil upon it. While the strap assembly is coiling and to decelerate, the user then applies a resistance force. Once the strap assembly is coiled again, the user reapplies the pulling force causing the weighted spool assembly to rotate in a second direction, uncoiling the strap assembly, until the length of the strap assembly is again exhausted.

  • Patent number: 7104926
Abstract: An exercising machine is provided that has a head engaging member that can provide a hemispherical movement. The head engaging member is attached to rollers that can roll on a pivotable arcuate track. As an exerciser moves the head engaging member in the X-Y plane, the machine forces movement in the Z plane such that the head engaging member can maintain a point of contact on the user's head as the exerciser rotates his head during exercise. The track can be arced or formed in a radius such that the head engaging member traverses a motion approximate to a radius of a neck rotation as measured from the forehead to the base of the neck.

  • Patent number: 7101326
Abstract: A storable exercise apparatus for home use. The apparatus includes an upright tower, a base structure, a bench frame, and a bench attached to the bench frame. A set of flexible pull lines coupled to a resilient spring system are carried within the tower structure. The user exercises by pulling the pull lines against the bias of the spring system. The grips for the pull lines are mounted at the top of the tower and generate significant tipping force on the tower when the apparatus is in use. To prevent tipping, the bench frame has pivotal and load-transmitting connections with the tower structure; the tower is stabilized by the weight of the user on the bench. The bench may be placed in either a raised or lowered position, and can be stored by collapsing and pivoting it so that it abuts the tower vertically.
