  • Patent number: 11407144
Abstract: Prestressed carbon fibers of at least one textile structure comprising carbon fibers are embedded in a concrete matrix. At least one textile structure comprising carbon fiber bundles is laid in a mold at a distance from one another, into two accommodation elements which are arranged at two diametrical end faces of the mold. Hollow spaces within the accommodation element are filled with a rapid-curing viscous composition having a mineral basis or rapid-curing polymer. After curing the composition or of the polymer, tensile forces act on the accommodation element(s) in the longitudinal direction of the carbon fiber bundles with a tensioning device. During the tensile force the interior of the mold is subsequently filled completely with viscous concrete. After curing of the concrete, the tensile forces on the prestressed carbon fiber bundles are largely transferred to the cured concrete and the concrete component can then be removed from the mold.

  • Patent number: 11331847
Abstract: Systems and methods of additive manufacturing are provided, in which solid polymer material in form of strand(s) or particles is continuously received, and its surface is heated peripherally to liquefy the surface, using specified heating-related parameters which are selected to maintain a central volume of the continuously received solid polymer material in a solid state. The surface of a polymer substrate is also liquefied, and the peripherally heated surface of the continuously received solid polymer material is attached to the liquefied surface of the polymer substrate, followed by re-solidification of the liquefied surface to yield monolithic attachment of the material to the substrate. Liquefying only the surface of the material maintains some of its strength and prevents deformation upon solidification. The monolithic attachment provides uniform and controllable industrial products.

  • Patent number: 11294278
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a method of fabricating a nano-sized structure in a resin element by nanoimprint lithography (NIL). The method reduces adhesive failure during NIL demolding by forming a layer of polymerization inhibiting compound at the interface of the resin element and template. The resin element is made with a mixture of a polymerization inhibiting compound (e.g., a perfluorinated compound) and a resin (e.g., a fluorine resin). The method includes aging the resin element to promote migration of the polymerization inhibiting compound to an interface of the resin element with air. The method also includes pressing a surface of a template having a nano-sized pattern onto the surface of the resin element exposed to the air to form the nano-sized structure in the resin element. The method further includes curing the resin element after the nano-sized structure is formed and then removing the template from the resin element.

  • Patent number: 11235496
Abstract: A one-step solution casting method for preparing a PVDF-based pyroelectric polymer film is provided, which belongs to the technical field of functional material preparation. The method comprises steps of: treating a substrate with a hydrophilic reagent to obtain a hydrophilically-modified substrate, and then casting the organic solution of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or its copolymer on the hydrophilically-modified substrate. After cured, the as-casted PVDF-based film shows pyroelectricity without undergoing any stretching or poling post-treatment, indicates that the dipoles of the one-step prepared film are aligned. The self-polarization of the prepared film is attributed to a hydrogen bond induced layer-by-layer electrostatic self-assembly growth mechanism. The method is simple, low cost, high efficient, high capability to produce thick and large-area film with smooth morphology and ease to be scalized.
