  • Patent number: 9755818
Abstract: System, methods and apparatus are described that facilitate transmission of data, particularly between two devices within an electronic apparatus. A first transition may be detected in a signal carried on a data lane of a data communications link or carried on a timing lane of the data communications link and an edge may be generated on a receiver clock signal based on the first transition. Data may be captured from the data lane using the receiver clock signal. The timing lane may carry a clock signal, a strobe signal or another signal providing timing information. The strobe signal may transition between signaling states when no state transition occurs on any of a plurality of data lanes at a boundary between consecutive data periods.

  • Patent number: 9745843
Abstract: The method and system for determining position with improved calibration allows a device to initiate activity at the proper location, such as navigating a drill bit through a rock formation. A position sensor having an oscillation element with a range of displacement in a set direction according to gravity generates a position data signal based on an amount of displacement in the set direction. A temperature sensor detects temperature and duration of the temperature. A plastic bias value is determined by a processor module based on the temperature data signal, the duration of the temperature, and the position data signal so as to account for bias and hysteresis errors. A position value is set according to the plastic bias value so that the position value is more accurate. The activity of the terminal device is initiated or maintained according to the position value calibrated by the plastic bias value.

  • Patent number: 9739255
Abstract: A submersible turbine generator unit can be placed in rivers, streams, or anywhere water flows in order to generate electricity without the need for dams. It is designed to work with its own diversion equipment for controlling and directing a flow of water into the turbine blades. The unit can be raised and lowered in the flow to enhance efficiency, respond to changing flow conditions, and for inspection/servicing, etc. The positioning system can use a motorized worm gear and a rack to raise or lower the turbine generator combination. Once raised up, a hard connection point allows attachment of a lifting cable so the turbine/generator combination can be easily removed and replaced as needed. A submersible turbine generator utilizes uniquely shaped turbine blades that efficiently engage flowing water and spin the turbine shaft without presenting undue risk to aquatic life.
