  • Patent number: 10820451
Abstract: A cooling system, large-scale information handling system (LIHS), and method avoid vapor condensation in information technology (IT) modules by operating all air handling units (AHU) in the same mode of operation. An AHU supervisory controller of the cooling system determines whether a trigger condition exists that indicates a risk of vapor condensation in the at least one IT module within LIHS that is cooled by more than one AHU. Each AHU directs the intake of cooling air in a selected mode of operation from among: (i) an outside air mode; and (ii) a mechanically cooled air mode. In response to determining that the trigger condition exists, the AHU supervisory controller triggers all AHUs to operate in a mode of operation selected to avoid condensation.

  • Patent number: 10804737
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling energy resources available to micro-grids of a city based on mobility patterns of people moving within the micro-grids. The mobility patterns can be identified using a network of sensors within each micro-grid for collecting data related to the movement of people within the micro-grids. The mobility patterns can be used to estimate energy demand for each micro-grid and prioritize the energy demands to determine the energy resources that would be suitable for supplying power to each micro-grid. This allows for micro-grids to dynamically and efficiently change their power sources according to predictions about the movement of people within the micro-grids.

  • Patent number: 10798886
Abstract: This disclosure describes a system for recycling and reusing water from sprinkler systems to water or irrigate a yard or an area of land. The system includes a water reclamation tank that stores water captured from beneath the area of land. When it is time to water the area of land, the sprinkler system draws water from the water reclamation tank. A portion of this water is then recaptured and supplied back to the water reclamation tank for further storage until the next time the sprinkler system is activated. This cyclical process occurs repeatedly and enables a significant reduction in the amount of freshly supplied water used to maintain the area of land.
