  • Patent number: 11783330
Abstract: In a method for activating account-variable transaction cards having private and public card encryption keys stored therein, private and public personal keys are associated with an account and transmitted to an account holder device. A request for activation of an account-variable transaction card is received by a central processor from the user device. The request includes information encrypted using at least the private personal key and the private card key. The central processor associates an account function with the account-variable transaction card and initiates via a first node in a distributed consensus network, an account blockchain associated with the account and the account-variable transaction card.

  • Patent number: 11775973
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for authenticating access to an account using questions which allow users to provide textual information about transactions conducted by an account. A machine learning model may be trained to predict the guessability of merchants. A request for access to an account may be received, and transaction data for that account may be received. An authentication question may be presented. For example, a user may be prompted to list places they have shopped recently. A user response comprising text data may be received. The text data may be processed to identify one or more merchants. If the one or more merchant(s) are represented in the transaction data, the machine learning model may be used to determine the guessability of the one or more merchants. An authentication score may be determined based on the guessability, and access to the account may be provided.

  • Patent number: 11748835
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for leveraging blockchain technology in a swarm learning context, where nodes of a blockchain network that contribute data to training a machine learning model using their own local data can be rewarded. In order to conduct such data monetization in a fair and accurate manner, the systems and methods rely on various phases in which Merkle trees are used and corresponding Merkle roots are registered in a blockchain ledger. Moreover, any claims for a reward are challenged by peer nodes before the reward is distributed.

  • Patent number: 11743243
Abstract: Methods and systems for authenticating a short-range communications HCE (Host Card Emulation) application for mobile communications devices. HCE application data can be transmitted to each registered mobile communications device among a group of mobile communications devices for storage of the HCE application data in a non-volatile memory associated with each registered mobile communications device. The HCE application data include a unique identifier, an expiry date, and an authentication key valid only for a user of each registered mobile communications device. The authentication key can then be diversified by the expiry date and the unique identifier so that the authentication key is only usable for a limited amount of time and the unique identifier is only usable for a single mobile communications device.

  • Patent number: 11687916
Abstract: Digital or “smart” contracts execute in a blockchain environment. Any entity (whether public or private) may specify a digital contract via a table identifier in a blockchain. Because there may be many digital contracts offered as virtual services, the table identifier uniquely identifies a particular decision table and/or the digital contract offered by a virtual machine, vendor or supplier. The blockchain is thus not burdened with the programming code that is required to execute the decision table and/or the digital contract. The blockchain need only include or specify the table identifier (and perhaps one or more contractual parameters), thus greatly simplifying the blockchain and reducing its size (in bytes) and processing requirements.

  • Patent number: 11676139
Abstract: Techniques and systems described below relate to systems and methods to access and store blockchain data. In various examples, a client computer system submits a blockchain-agnostic request to a computing resource service provider and the service provider processes the request. The chain-agnostic request may be a request that is interoperable between multiple blockchain protocols, such that, for a given request, the request can be fulfilled using multiple underlying blockchain technologies. A computing resource service provider may receive and process chain-agnostic requests by decoding or otherwise interpreting the requests and routing the requests for fulfillment using one or more chain adapters that are accessible to the computing resource service provider. The service provider may determine metadata associated with the request and determining how to fulfill the request, which may include accessing computing resources of the computing resource service provider and/or the associated blockchain network.

  • Patent number: 11663597
Abstract: An E-commerce protocol is provided. The E-commerce protocol has been developed as a solution to malicious attacks such as credit card fraud and stealing of various financial data, wherein the malicious attacks appeared particularly in a cyber world. With the help of the E-commerce protocol, a manipulated version of user information in an E-commerce database removes security risks of compromising on E-commerce systems. Even though a user does not have to share personal information of the user with E-commerce companies, an application also eliminates a necessity of entering the user information for each online transaction.

  • Patent number: 11645645
Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for secure authentication based on identity data stored in a contactless card associated with an account. An application may receive an indication specifying to perform an operation. The application may receive encrypted data from the card. The application may receive an indication that the authentication server decrypted the encrypted data. The application may determine a type of data required to authorize the operation. The application may receive data comprising passport data or driver license data from the card. The application may determine that the data satisfies a rule for authorizing the operation and authorize performance of the operation based on the authentication server verifying the encrypted data and the data satisfying the at least one rule.

  • Patent number: 11636468
Abstract: A method for encapsulating transaction instrument information in a transaction includes storing, in association with a first transaction and by a processor of the primary transaction processor server, payment data associated with a payment instrument used to settle a cost of a first transaction. The primary transaction processor server transmits the transaction data to a payment network processor. The primary transaction processor server receives an authorization package from the payment network processor that includes a cryptograph and a first network token. The processor of the primary transaction processor server generates a secondary token, and stores a correlation record to a computer-readable memory. The correlation record associates the secondary token to a second object stored by the primary transaction processor. The processor of the primary transaction processor server transmits a second transaction package including at least one of the network token and the secondary token to a merchant device.

  • Patent number: 11625752
Abstract: A cryptographic anonymization method, apparatus, and system are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a server configured to receive encrypted usage information and an identifier from an application operating on a user terminal and trans-cypher the encrypted usage information from a first encryption scheme to a second encryption scheme to create second encrypted usage information without decrypting the encrypted usage information. The server is also configured to convert and encrypt the identifier to an encrypted unique identifier. The server is further configured to compare the second encrypted usage information to a taxonomy of data labels using rules. For each match of at least some of the second encrypted usage information to a data label, the server is configured to add the encrypted unique identifier to the matching data label. The server uses the data labels and/or the encrypted unique identifier for serving advertisements to the user.

  • Patent number: 11626986
Abstract: A method of rescinding access to blockchain data may include the addition of metadata to an entire blockchain or to component blocks in a blockchain which contain the encrypted keys for each owner or otherwise authorized party. Said metadata may be added when a block is created, including metadata to store state and communicate information. After a blockchain is published, an authorized party may request rescission of access to one or more blocks or the entire blockchain by appending one or more instruction blocks to the chain. The other parties authorized to access this block or blockchain may agree to said request. If a sufficient number of parties have agreed to rescind, the removal of access keys may be publicly confirmed with the result that the original data held within the block or blockchain can no longer be decrypted.
