The second annular surface includes a second orifice for receiving a second fastener for securing the shipping strap to a rotor for an electric machine to axially position the rotor in the hybrid module housing. In some example embodiments, the shipping strap has a through bore aligned with the central bore, and a lifting element installed in the through bore for installing the hybrid module in a multi-speed transmission. In an example embodiment, the lifting element is installed in the through bore by a threaded connection.
