Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a pressure member, and a heating section. The heating section faces an inner circumferential surface of the fixing belt. The heating section includes a heater and a heater holding member. The heater heats the fixing belt. The heater holding member holds the heater. The heater holding member has a first side surface, a second side surface, and an inclined slit. The first and second side surfaces are in contact with the inner circumferential surface. The first side surface has the inclined slit. The inclined slit is located in the first side surface in a direction of a rotational axis of the fixing belt. The inclined slit has one end on a side of the pressure member and the other end on an opposite side to the side of the pressure member. The other end is located nearer a middle (center) of the first side surface in the direction of the rotational axis than the one end.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit for forming a toner image on a sheet of paper; a fixing unit for fixing the toner image formed on the sheet of paper by heat; a power control unit for, when power to be supplied to the fixing unit is increased, determining an amount of increase of the power; and a current limiting unit for determining whether current consumption of the image forming apparatus exceeds an upper limit value in response to an increase of the amount of increase determined by the power control unit and, if it is determined that the current consumption exceeds the upper limit value, decreasing the amount of increase of the power determined by the power control unit.
Abstract: A toner supplying device and an image forming apparatus that supply toner stably and do not impose a stress on toner, regardless of a remaining amount of toner stored in a storage container of the toner supplying device are provided. Two flexible sheets constituting a toner scooping blade are bonded to each other with a double-sided adhesive tape that functions as a spacer and an adhesive member sandwiched therebetween at an end fixed to a blade support neck and the other end in contact with an inner wall of the toner storage container. Whereby, a gap is formed between the two flexible sheets.

In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of forming a device with multiple encapsulated pressures, including providing a substrate, forming a functional layer on top of a surface of the substrate, the functional layer including a first device portion at a first location, and a second device portion at a second location adjacent to the first location, encapsulating the functional layer, forming at least one diffusion resistant layer above the encapsulated functional layer at a location above the first location and not above the second location, modifying an environment adjacent the at least one diffusion resistant layer, and diffusing a gas into the second location as a result of the modified environment.
Abstract: An inverted MOSFET process. A replacement gate (100) and removable sidewalls (80) allow the formation of spot implant regions (120) and (130) to form the pocket region (120) and the drain and source regions (130) of the MOSFET. The replacement gate (100) has a flared profile for reduced resistance.
