Abstract: A device capable of attaching a portable handheld camera to the wrist or arm of a human user is disclosed. The device is a multi-component detachable band of fabric or other material designed to encircle a user's wrist or arm, and hold a small handheld camera to the user's arm by way a camera mounting screw that attaches, by way of a rigid or semi-rigid hinged camera mounting bracket affixed to the band, to the camera's tripod socket. The device will often additionally contain a built-in second band of fabric or other material that can be positioned over the majority of the camera's front, and both hold the camera tightly to the user's wrist or arm when photography is not desired, as well as help protect the camera from accidental damage. The device is particularly useful for action sports photography.

Abstract: A camera includes a camera control unit configured to acquire information on an accessory mounted on the camera by performing communication with an accessory control unit included in the accessory and to control a photographing operation based on the information on the accessory. When the camera control unit acquires, from the accessory control unit, first information that is required prior to start of photographing and second information that is required prior to generation of image data after the start of photographing, if the camera control unit determines that a photographer has performed an operation to start a photographing operation during a period in which the camera control unit is performing communication to acquire the second information, the camera control unit executes a photographic sequence in priority to acquiring the second information and thereafter acquires the second information.

Abstract: An object of the preset invention is to provide a technique capable of preventing occurrence of an assembly error. A driving apparatus for driving an object includes: a driving part having a stationary part and a moving part; and a displacement transmitting part for transmitting a displacement to the object in accordance with a drive displacement of the moving part. The displacement transmitting part and the moving part coupled to the displacement transmitting part are integrally molded.
