Abstract: A new cultivar of Hosta named ‘High Society’, a sport of Hosta ‘June’, that is characterized by its unique variegated foliage with wide blue-green margins comprising about two thirds of the leaf area, centers that emerge yellow green turning to white, with intermediate areas of bright green. ‘High Society’ is a smaller Hosta, in comparison to ‘June’, with a mounded plant habit and pinkish white flowers held above the foliage that are present from late summer to early fall.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Calibrachoa plant named ‘Wescafire’, characterized by its upright to cascading and vigorous growth habit; freely branching habit; dense and bushy appearance; relatively large leaves; medium-sized flowers; and numerous yellow to red purple-colored flowers.
Abstract: A new and distinct Podophyllum plant characterized by beautiful large umbrella-shaped, lobed leaves with an attractive brown-spotted spring color followed by green leaves with lighter spots and larger maroon red flowers in clusters.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new and distinct variety of strawberry named “La Cle des Champs”. The variety is botanically identified as Fragaria×ananassa. The new variety is distinguished from other varieties by a number of properties including but not limited to: shape and lengthy leaves; fruit color and texture; and disease and temperature hardiness.
Abstract: A new distinct pear variety is described. This interspecific variety results from crossing between ‘Nijisseiki’ (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai) (not patented) and ‘Max Red Barlett’ (Pyrus communis) (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 741). The new variety has been named ‘Prem2P’ and was selected because of its crisp texture and ‘Bartlett’ type flavor. The fruit of this new variety is characterized by its pyriform shape, smooth yellow skin, crisp texture and ‘Bartlett’ type flavor when fully ripe.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Koelreuteria named ‘CORAL SUN’ that is characterized by emerging and persistent orange red spring foliage, mid-green summer foliage, bright red petioles at all times, and the typical golden yellow fall foliage for the species. In combination these traits set ‘CORAL SUN’ apart from all other existing varieties of Koelreuteria known to the inventor.
