  • Patent number: 10673559
Abstract: A system and method for determining an optimal configuration of the preamble for use in a wireless network is disclosed. The system and method use the calculated or given channel bit error rate to determine this configuration. There are two important parameters associated with the preamble; its length and the detection threshold. The detection threshold is a measure of how many bits can be incorrect while still detecting the preamble. The optimal value of the detection threshold sets a trade off between false positives and false negatives. In some embodiments, the system uses the channel bit error rate to determine these parameters. In certain embodiments, the detection threshold can be implemented by the receiver without knowledge of the transmitter. By optimizing the configuration of the preamble, the reliability of communications is minimally impacted while power consumption of the network devices is reduced.

  • Patent number: 10666464
Abstract: Allocation of CSI-RS or CSI pilot sequences among cells in a cooperative manner to reduce pilot inter-cell interference. Sequences in each cell occupy the same time slot, multiple subcarrier frequencies, and are orthogonal in time via properly chosen cyclic shifts. Sequences in multiple cells are chosen from a pool of non-orthogonal yet distinguishable sequences through their root indices. Exchanging root indices among cells allows a given cell to reconstruct sequences used in neighboring cells and to estimate interfering channels as the number of channel taps is usually limited, thus mitigating pilot contamination. Furthermore, a greedy selection algorithm to find combinations of sequences that further reduce the channel estimation mean-square-error is proposed.

  • Patent number: 10666613
Abstract: An edge server of a distributed edge compute and routing service receives a tunnel connection request from a tunnel client residing on an origin server, that requests a tunnel be established between the edge server and the tunnel client. The request identifies the hostname that is to be tunneled. An IP address is assigned for the tunnel. DNS record(s) are added or changed that associate the hostname with the assigned IP address. Routing rules are installed in the edge servers of the distributed edge compute and routing service to reach the edge server for the tunneled hostname. The edge server receives a request for a resource of the tunneled hostname from another edge server that received the request from a client, where the other edge server is not connected to the origin server. The request is transmitted from the edge server to the origin server over the tunnel.

  • Patent number: 10660121
Abstract: A sequence-based signal processing method and apparatus are provided. A sequence meeting a requirement for sending a signal by using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is determined, where the sequence is a sequence {fn} consisting of N elements, fn is an element in the sequence {fn}, and the determined sequence {fn} is a sequence meeting a preset condition; then, the N elements in the sequence {fn} are respectively mapped to N subcarriers to generate a first signal; and the first signal is sent. By using the determined sequence, when a signal is sent by using a PUCCH, a low sequence correlation can be maintained, and a relatively small peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) value and cubic metric (CM) value can also be maintained, thereby meeting a requirement of a communication application environment in which a signal is sent by using a PUCCH.
