  • Patent number: 5532524
Abstract: A system for distributing power throughout a computer system, preferably a portable computer, while still maintaining a desired power mode hierarchy so that the most critical components or circuits-within the computer system receive power before non-critical components. The system includes a micro-controller unit for controlling power allocations throughout the system. The system further includes a power connector for interfacing with a dual-line AC-to-DC adapter, a switching regulator for providing regulated DC power outputs to a central processing unit, memory unit and the like, a battery switching circuit having two battery packs to support simultaneous charging and sequential discharging of the battery packs in the event that the AC-to-DC adapter is decoupled from the computer system and an auxiliary battery source for supplying power to critical components in the computer system as a last resort.

  • Patent number: 4798970
Abstract: A defrosting circuit switch unit for an electronic range comprises: a frame of said unit, said frame being provided with a shaft; a defrosting circuit switch lever provided in a case in which a time switch is incorporated; a connecting rod having its lower end portion connected with a free end portion of said lever, said connecting rod being slidably moved up and down; a rotary plate rotatably mounted on said frame through said shaft and provided with a stopper extending in a projecting manner, said stopper being received in an elongated hole of an upper portion of said connecting rod, said rotary plate being integrally formed with a projection and a sector cam, said projection abutting on a leaf spring mounted on said frame; and a tension spring mounted between said rotary plate and said frame so as to resiliently biasing said rotary plate, said tension spring being engaged with said rotary plate through an engaging hole provided in said rotary plate.

  • Patent number: 4799002
Abstract: A five-phase stepping motor system includes phase windings connected in series with each other to form a ring and pairs of switching devices connected in series with each other, with each pair having an intermediate connection connected to a corresponding junction between the phase windings. One switching device of each pair is connected to a positive pole of a d.c. power source and the other switching device is connected to a negative pole of the power source. The switching devices are turned on and off to connect two junctions to the positive pole of the power source and to connect two junctions to the negative poles of the power source. The switching devices in the remaining pair isolate the remaining junction from the power source. Exciting signals are applied to the switching devices so that the junction in the opened state is shifted to other junctions every pulse.
