When exchanging pallets, the pallet changer employs a drive means 3 for driving a table 2, and a transfer means 12 comprising a chain 66 and sprockets 64, 65. The transfer means 12 is driven by the drive means 3, and the pallet 4 is moved in the same direction as the table 2.
Abstract: A profiling tool is mounted on a tool slide which can be moved radially towards the electrode roller (10) by means of a feed drive. A feeler slide which carries a feeler can move parallel to the tool slide and is biassed towards the electrode roller. Relative movements of the tool slide with respect to the feeler slide, and thus the depth of feed of the profiling tool into the electrode roller, are limited by an adjustable limit stop (76). The tool slide can be stopped by means of a clamping device as soon as the predetermined depth of feed of the profiling tool is reached. The setting of the profiling tool automatically adapts to the diameter of the electrode roller, which decreases with repeated profiling.
Abstract: A clamping arrangement is disclosed for an annular milling cutter comprises a receiving flange which has a centering collar concentric with the axis of rotation. With the aid of clamping means the milling cutter is held on the receiving flange and positively connected to the latter by at least one engaging member. To enable the gripper of a tool changer to have unobstructed access, a pressure flange carrying a number of radially protruding teeth on its rim is provided, axially movable by an actuator rod selectively operated by an actuator. The milling cutter has in its central opening radially inwardly protruding teeth, the spacing of which corresponds to the spacing of the teeth on the pressure flange. By setting the position of the teeth offset relative to one another, the milling cutter can be moved over the pressure flange, and rotating the cutter to align the teeth, the pressure flange can clamp the milling cutter against an abutment surface on the receiving flange, acting through the aligned teeth.

The drilling tool is supported adjacent the clamping assembly for rotation of the tool about a rotation axis which corresponds with the longitudinal axis of the shank and for movement of the leading end of the tool along a linear path corresponding with the rotation axis into and out of the webbing held by the clamping assembly.
Abstract: A two-stage lift arm for raising a transfer bar used in a multi-station machining assembly includes a central pivot at which it is mounted for rotation in a vertical plane about a horizontal axis, a primary lift roller spaced a first distance from the central pivot location, a secondary lift roller spaced a second distance from the central pivot location, the second distance being greater than the first distance, and means for positively rotating the lift arm between a first position in which only the primary lift roller contacts the transfer bar, a second position in which both rollers contact the transfer bar, and a third position in which only the second lift roller contacts the transfer bar.
Abstract: A machine tool comprises two motion units, in particular a spindle stock and a machine bed, arranged for being displaced relative to each other along one axis. A guideway is fixed to a first motion unit for guiding the displaceable motion unit, a first surface of the guideway being in contact with, and screwed to a second surface of the first motion unit. In order to prevent the guideways from being dislodged in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the machine screws, for example when the spindle stock runs up against a stationary obstacle due to improper operation, at least one of the said surface is roughened.
Abstract: A hardware installation device for boring or drilling wood, plastic or metal and is more particularly concerned with providing a precise location of pilot holes for attachment screws and material removal by boring or drilling means.
Abstract: The described invention is intended for use primarily in the yacht repair industry and specifically in the repair of fiberglass hulls of yachts. However, its use will not be limited to fiberglass in yachts but fiberglass in general where applicable. The invention removes gelcoat (coating over fiberglass) and/or consecutive layers of fiberglass laminate. The invention is specifically designed to remove osmotically blistered gelcoat and/or fiberglass laminate in an efficient and in an environmentally attractive fashion. The invention "planes" off gelcoat and/or fiberglass laminate duplicating the existing contour of the hull or boat bottom. The cutterhead is continually flushed with water to prevent toxic dust from being released into the air. Interchangeable depth gauges allow change in the depth of the cut. Gelcoat and fiberglass are removed anywhere from a 0 to 1/4 inch depth at a rate of four square feet per five minutes leaving a consistent and fair surface.
