  • Patent number: 11531736
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for adaptably authenticating a user are disclosed. A device captures a user input, and sends data corresponding thereto to a system. The system determines natural language understanding (NLU) results representing the user input. A user authentication component of the system receives the NLU results and determines a skill configured to perform an action responsive to the user input. The user authentication component adaptably performs user authentication based on a user authentication condition associated with the skill. If the user can be authenticated to the satisfaction of the condition, the NLU results data are sent to the skill, along with an indicator representing the user was authenticated by the system.

  • Patent number: 11531735
Abstract: A machine detects a request to execute a transaction specified by a first set of user inputs. The machine determines, based on the first set of user inputs that specified the transaction, that the request to execute the transaction is to be verified with a corresponding challenge prompt that is to be generated for the request to execute the transaction. The machine then generates the challenge prompt that corresponds to the request to execute the transaction specified by the first set of user inputs that specified the transaction, and the machine causes presentation of the generated challenge prompt that corresponds to the request to execute the transaction. In response to the presented challenge prompt, the machine may receive a second set of user inputs. Based on the second set of user inputs, the machine then generates an indication of whether the request is verified.

  • Patent number: 11520871
Abstract: In an approach to augmenting authentication methods using a face covering, one or more computer processors receive an image of a user wearing a face covering, where a portion of the face of the user is visible in the image, and the face covering covers another portion of the face of the user in the image. One or more computer processors detect an identifier operably coupled with the face covering. One or more computer processors determine whether the first portion of the face of the user is associated with the identifier. In response to determining the first portion of the face of the user is not associated with the identifier, one or more computer processors receive an alternate authentication. One or more computer processors authenticate the user.

  • Patent number: 11509467
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are related to generating and using a private key recovery seed based on random words extracted from a generated story to recover the private key. An input story is received from a user. The story includes random words and filler words that were previously generated. The number of random words generated is based on an entropy level. The random words included in the story are extracted. This means that the user does not need to enter any random words that are not included in the story to recover the private key. The random words are input into a first key recovery mechanism to thereby generate a private key recovery seed. The private key recovery seed is then input into a second private key recovery mechanism, the second private key recovery mechanism generating a recovered private key upon performing a recovery operation on the private key recovery seed.

  • Patent number: 11494472
Abstract: Systems and methods provide voice activated authentication over time. A user can be registered with a voice authentication system based on a voiceprint profile of common words. This user voiceprint profile can be used in an ongoing secondary authentication as a hands-free head-mounted wearable device is used over time. Upon a user logging into a hands-free head-mounted wearable device voiceprints can be collected during a session. These collected voiceprints can be compared with a user voiceprint profile for a user authorized to operate the hands-free head-mounted wearable device. Such a comparison can include an analysis of frequency, duration, and amplitude for the voiceprints. When the voiceprints match, the login of the user can be maintained based on this secondary authentication using the voiceprints matched to the user voiceprint profile.

  • Patent number: 11436309
Abstract: An authentication subsystem receives a request for authentication of a user to access a server. A voiceprint is determined for the user based on recordings of the user speaking. Authentication phrases is determined for the user based on the voiceprint. Based public user data and/or user transaction data, user knowledge is determined which reflects topics about which the user has knowledge. An authentication question is generated based on the authentication phrases and the user knowledge. An anticipated answer to the authentication question one of the authentication phrases. The authentication question is provided to a device operated by the user. If a response voiceprint associated with an actual spoken response to the authentication question sufficiently matches an anticipated voiceprint for an expected recording of the anticipated answer, the user is granted access to the server. Otherwise, access to the server is denied.

  • Patent number: 11436374
Abstract: A card includes a secure element hosting applications instances. An external interface receive, from an external card reader, an application selection command selecting one application instance from a set of one or more selectable application instances. A biometric interface is configured to acquire biometrics of a user via biometric sensor. A processor compares the acquired biometric data to reference biometric data stored in the card and set the selectable application instance set depending on the outcome of the biometric data comparison. An instance of a non-biometric application is provided in the set only in case of positive comparison. A non-biometric application is thus now biometric-secured. Personalized parameters configuring the instance of a same application may be determined based on the acquired biometrics, allowing configurations of the card to be proposed for several different users.
