  • Patent number: 7899398
Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable Karaoke system. The portable Karaoke system has a separate radio auxiliary microphone receiving module and a separate FM transmission module, which can be inserted/separated into/from the portable Karaoke system, such that a user can select and purchase only a required function module and easily carry and keep the portable Karaoke system. The portable system has hooks, which are provided at both sides of a battery case to prevent a battery from being easily separated from the battery case, and semicircular recesses, which are formed at the top edges of both sidewalls of the battery case to allow a user to easily remove the battery from the battery case. Furthermore, the portable Karaoke system has first and second gears formed at stepped portions of the end of a microphone body such that the first gear is combined with a general microphone and the second gear is combined with a ball-type microphone net.

  • Patent number: 7813721
Abstract: A mobile terminal having restricted access to an enhanced services system includes a transceiver which transmits and receives wireless signals, a memory which stores a first preferred roaming list (PRL) listing a basic communication system and an enhanced services system, and a second PRL listing the basic communication system but not the enhanced services system, and a controller which restricts access of the mobile terminal to the enhanced services system by deactivating the first PRL and activating the second PRL in response to receipt of an authentication failure report from the enhanced services system. A system for restricting access to an enhanced services system includes an enhanced services system which provides enhanced services to authorized users and prevents unauthorized users from communicating with the enhanced services system.

  • Patent number: 7801104
Abstract: A system (e.g., an AP or a STA) in a WLAN comprises slot information (e.g., slot association or slot bias information); a counter for counting slot numbers; and a medium access controller operative to monitor a wireless medium and to initiate transmission of a MAC frame during a current slot based an a distributed wireless access protocol (e.g., DCF or EDCA), on a current slot number (t) corresponding to the current slot as counted by the counter, and on the slot information. The medium access controller may initiate frame transmission when a backoff counter is zero and when t mod N=ni (such that N=number of STAs, and ni=assigned slot number). Alternatively, the medium access controller may initiate frame transmission when a backoff counter is zero and when a slot bias mechanism effecting a probability of access to the wireless medium is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 7801108
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for establishing time at a first basestation, and synchronizing the first basestation with other basestations in a cellular network. The method may be performed using a mobile (cellular communication) station that includes a satellite position system receiver. One method comprises determining a location of the mobile station, determining a time indicator that represents a time-of-day at the mobile station, wherein the time indicator is determined relative to a signal available at the first basestation, transmitting at least one of the position information and location, and transmitting the time indicator from the mobile station. The time indicator and at least one of the position information and the location are used to establish a time at the first basestation such that the first basestation is synchronized to other basestations in the cellular communication system. Other methods and apparatuses are also described for synchronizing basestations in a cellular network.

  • Patent number: 7783295
Abstract: When n mobile stations performing communications using a shared channel and m mobile stations performing communications using a dedicated channel are used in a mixed manner, necessary radio resources to satisfy the transmission data rate aimed by a mobile station performing communications using a shared channel are calculated, the quality of the shared channel is guaranteed, and call admission control of a dedicated channel is performed. An HS terminal allocation power calculation unit calculates necessary transmission power to satisfy the target transmission data rate by n mobile stations based on the radio channel quality and the target transmission data rate of the n mobile stations using a shared channel.

  • Patent number: 7761096
Abstract: A method for logging a radio module into a cellular radio network, where the radio module automatically logs into the radio network when it is turned on by virtue of it transmitting a login message to the radio network, the radio network storing login data for the radio module and the login data being deleted again when the radio module logs out. In response to an autoreset signal in the radio a controlled autoreset is triggered in which the radio module temporarily turns off and then on again or temporally deactivates from the radio network and then registers again.

  • Patent number: 7729692
Abstract: There is provided an inspection system capable of easily performing inspection of a radio section under an actual environment and enabling a user to easily identify a trouble. In this system, an analysis/display device (400) analyzes the data outputted from an inspection device (200, 300) and extracts a radio parameter. By using the radio parameter extracted from the data obtained by inspection of a cabled section, an inspection device (100) inspects the state of radio communication between a communication terminal device (50) and abase station device (150). The analysis/display device (400) aligns the cabled message and the radio message obtained by analyzing the data outputted from the inspection devices (100, 200, 300) in time series or in sequence of calls and displays them.
