  • Patent number: 9237580
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for reporting CSI in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: a step for configuring a plurality of serving cells; and a step for reporting the CSI of only one serving cell in a corresponding subframe, wherein the step for reporting the CSI of only one serving cell comprises: excluding reporting the CSI of a lower priority when CSI reports of the plurality of serving cells in the corresponding subframe collide; and excluding reporting the CSI of serving cells other than the serving cell having the smallest index when the CSI reports of different serving cells having the same priority in the corresponding subframe collide.

  • Patent number: 9204375
Abstract: A method and system are described for determining parameters of an access point (AP). In the described embodiments, during a first time period, a portable electronic device (PED) scans for APs on a wireless local area network (WLAN) channel. Then, when an AP is detected on the WLAN channel, the PED determines if the AP includes a general advertisement service (GAS) protocol to make available information related to services provided by the AP. If the AP includes the GAS protocol, then the PED transmits a GAS request frame to the AP. If a response to the GAS request frame is not received from the AP within the first time period, then the PED extends the dwell time to wait for the response for a second time period, wherein a duration of the second time period is determined based on a total allowable time to scan for APs.

  • Patent number: 9185032
Abstract: An RF unit, a modem unit and a processing unit receive packet signals sent from other radio apparatuses and broadcast packet signals. If no packet signals are received over a predetermined period of time, a timing control unit has the RF unit, the modem unit and the processing unit perform an intermittent receiving processing and has them stop broadcasting the packet signals. When the packet signals are received while no packet signals has been received over the predetermined period of time, the timing control unit has them perform continuous receiving processing and has them start broadcasting the packet signals.

  • Patent number: 9172557
Abstract: A system includes a server including: logic adapted for receiving traffic from a virtual machine (VM), the traffic including at least one packet, logic adapted for hashing at least a portion of the at least one packet according to a hashing algorithm to obtain a hash value, and logic adapted for selecting an uplink based on the hash value; at least one accelerated network interface card (NIC), each accelerated NIC including: network ports including multiple Peripheral Component Interconnect express (PCIe) ports adapted for communicating with the server and a network, each network port including an uplink, logic adapted for encapsulating the at least one packet into an overlay-encapsulated packet, logic adapted for storing a media access control (MAC) address corresponding to the selected uplink as a source MAC (SMAC) address in an outer header of the overlay-encapsulated packet, and logic adapted for sending the overlay-encapsulated packet via the selected uplink.

  • Patent number: 9137788
Abstract: An apparatus used in a full duplex multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communications system is disclosed. In an aspect, the apparatus includes a plurality of antennas, each of which is connected to a combination of at least a TX (transmit) RF (radio frequency) chain and an RX (receive) RF chain. The plurality of antennas are split into one or more transmit antennas and one or more receive antennas, and the apparatus communicates with another apparatus. Other apparatuses and some methods for wireless communications also are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9124325
Abstract: This invention provides a terminal apparatus that can suppress the quality degradation caused by a propagation path variation when implementing a retransmission control method using non-adaptive HARQ in a wireless communication system utilizing the MIMO communication technique. In this apparatus, a number-of-retransmissions counting unit (105) counts a number of retransmission requests (L) for the same code word. A predetermined precoder designating unit (106) changes precoders between when the number of retransmission requests (L) is less than N and when the number of retransmission requests (L) is equal to or greater than N plus one. A PDCCH generation unit (211) determines, based on a result of comparison between the number of retransmission requests (L) for the same CW and the number of retransmission requests (N) established for the change of precoders, a precoder to be used by terminals, and further allocates, based on the determined precoder, resources to the plurality of terminals.
