Abstract: A gaming system is disclosed which comprises a plurality of display positions disposed in a display area, a symbol selector arranged to select a plurality of symbols for display at respective display positions, and an outcome evaluator arranged to determine whether the selected symbols correspond to a winning outcome with reference to at least one of a plurality of defined win lines. Each of the defined win lines comprises at least one display position, and at least some of the win lines comprise differing numbers of display positions. A corresponding method of gaming is also disclosed.

Abstract: To provide a game device for enabling a game player to recognize a positional relationship among respective game characters even when the game characters are located densely in an area. Abstract: According to some embodiments, an image may be received from a camera of a portable computing device associated with a player (e.g., a wireless telephone or game system). At least a portion of a board game may be recognized within the image, and an augmented version of the image may be displayed on the portable computing device. According to some embodiments, a board game score may be automatically determined for the player based on (i) an input received from the player via the portable computing device and (ii) the image associated with the board game. According to other embodiments, the image associated with the board game includes a portion of a visual message not readable by a human and the augmented version of the image includes supplemental information readable by a human when combined with the portion of the visual message.
Abstract: Techniques for handling wager residuals are described herein. Embodiments include a method that detects a residual from one or more wagers remaining in a first memory location for an electronic wagering game machine. The residual of the one or more wagers are transferred from the first memory location to a second memory location. Information about the residual is stored. The residual from the first memory location is cleared.
