  • Patent number: 12370303
Abstract: A patch-type drug infusion device includes an infusion unit. The infusion unit includes a drug storage unit, a piston, a rigid screw, a rotating shaft, a rotatable driving unit, a driving wheel provided with wheel teeth, a power unit and a rebound unit. The driving unit can rotate around the rotating shaft, driving the driving portion of the driving unit to push the wheel teeth to rotate the driving wheel which engages the rigid screw to move forward in a non-rotating way. The device also includes position detectors, a program unit, an infusion needle and an adhesive patch. The program unit is connected to the infusion unit to control drug infusion and convert received electrical or magnetic signals into the piston position information.

  • Patent number: 12370324
Abstract: A pen needle (10) includes a hub (12) supporting a needle (30), an inner shield (14) enclosing the distal end of the needle, and an outer cover (16). The outer surface of the hub can include ribs (66) that cooperate with ribs (72) on the inner surface of the outer cover to assist in attaching the pen needle to a delivery device while preventing over torqueing or over tightening. In one embodiment, the inner shield (14) has a dimension to attach to the distal end of the hub (12) after use to enclose the proximal, non-patent end of the needle. In another embodiment, the outer cover (16) includes a closure member that can be removed during use and re-attached after use to cover the proximal end of the needle.

  • Patent number: 12337127
Abstract: A catheter system may include a catheter adapter and a wing extending outwardly from the catheter adapter. The wing may include a groove or slot. The catheter system may include a needle hub and a paddle extending outwardly from the needle hub. The paddle may include an extension disposed within the groove or the slot to reduce axial movement between the catheter adapter and the needle hub, which may be advantageous during insertion of the catheter system into a patient. The extension may be removable from the groove or the slot to allow axial movement between the catheter adapter and the needle hub during removal of the needle hub from the catheter adapter, for example. The paddle and/or the wing may include a shape to reduce axial movement between the catheter adapter and the needle hub, which may also be advantageous during insertion of the catheter system.

  • Patent number: 12318593
Abstract: A wearable drug delivery device includes a housing, a needle assembly at least partially disposed in the housing, and a drive assembly at least partially disposed in the housing and coupled to the needle assembly. The needle assembly includes a needle or cannula and a sterile barrier disposed proximal to the needle or cannula in a first configuration where the sterile barrier is intact. The drive assembly includes a container that contains a medicament to be administered, a first plunger disposed in the container, and a drive mechanism that forces the first plunger to urge the medicament through the container. Upon engaging the drive mechanism, the needle or cannula and the sterile barrier move relative to each other from the first configuration to a second configuration where the needle or cannula breaks the sterile barrier, thereby allowing the medicament to be administered via the needle or cannula.
