Patent number: 6206323Abstract: A yarn package holder wherein a plurality of circumferentially spaced blades are pivotally connected to a pair of axially spaced discs adapted to be connected to the creel of a textile machine. A detent assembly is provided between the blades and discs so that the blades can be pivoted and fixed at a desired radial position relative to the discs for supporting yarn package tubes of different diameters. The blades are rigidly held against the inside surface of the yarn package tube.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Exim Ltd.Inventor: Larry W. Byars

Patent number: 6179242Abstract: A press roll unit for a roll-up of a paper cutter has two adjacent rolls. A belt or plurality of belts is wound around the rolls to operatively interconnect them. An electric motor inside at least one roll drives the roll unit. The belt or plurality of belts have at least one aperture for cooling the electric motor and the roll surrounding it.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1999Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Assignee: KCI Konecranes International PLCInventors: Klaus Uuskoski, Jouko Virta

Patent number: 6170775Abstract: A retracting extension cord reel includes a mounting bracket, a housing bracket removably and pivotally attached to the mounting bracket, and a cord reel housing attached to the housing bracket. When the mounting bracket is attached to a mounting surface, the housing can be moved toward and away from the mounting surface. When the housing bracket is detached from the mounting bracket, the housing bracket can be used as a handle for carrying the housing to a remote location. The cord reel is particularly useful for powering small appliances and electrical tools, and can incorporate a resettable circuit breaker.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1999Date of Patent: January 9, 2001Assignee: Alert Stamping & Mfg. Co., Inc.Inventors: James D. Kovacik, Paul S. Blanch, Stanley E. Grzywna

Patent number: 6113021Abstract: A one way clutch includes a shaft, a rotation-transmitting member, and a rotating member. The rotating shaft is rotatable about its rotational axis in a first direction and in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The rotating shaft extends through the rotation-transmitting member which is in the form of a coil spring. When the shaft rotates in the second direction, the spring tightly engages the shaft and rotates together with the shaft to transmit rotation of the shaft to the rotating member. When the shaft rotates in the first direction, the spring loosely engages the shaft not to transmit the rotation of the shaft to the rotating member. The rotating member fits over and engages the spring such that the rotating member is axially movable along, but not rotatable relative to the spring.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1998Date of Patent: September 5, 2000Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Koichi Hosokawa

Patent number: 5906324Abstract: Disclosed is a single reel tape cartridge having a supply reel positioned within a central cavity of a shell. The supply reel is coupled to the attachment end of a length of recording tape which is wound in a sequence of wraps from an inner circumference to a maximum outer circumference when the length of recording tape is fully wound on the supply reel. A tape guide and bearing assembly positioned within the central cavity closely adjacent the maximum outer circumference, faces towards an aperture in the shell and away from the supply reel. The tape guide and bearing assembly defines a tape path for the outermost wrap from the supply reel to the tape guide and bearing assembly, across an aperture in the shell for interfacing the outermost wrap with the tape head of the tape drive at the aperture. The tape path then extends to an isolator, e.g.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 1998Date of Patent: May 25, 1999Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: George Frederick Adams, Armando Jesus Argumedo, Edwin Ralph Childers
