Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for sharing wireless resource information by a cell in a multi-cell wireless communication system. More particularly, the method for sharing wireless resource information by a cell according to the present invention comprises: a step of transmitting wireless resource information to a neighbor cell; and a step of receiving an acknowledgement message corresponding to the wireless resource information from the neighbor cell. The wireless resource information is information for changing the used of the wireless resource of a specific wireless resource region, and the acknowledgement message is a message indicating whether the change in use of the wireless resource is allowed in the neighbor cell.

  • Patent number: 10117223
Abstract: A method and system for paging of a wireless client device (WCD). When a wireless communication system encounters a trigger to page a WCD, the system will identify the WCD's most recent serving base station (e.g., the WCD's currently registered base station, or the base station providing the WCD's currently registered coverage area) and will determine whether that base station is a relay base station or rather a non-relay base station. If the base station is a non-relay base station, then the system will provide the initial page of the WCD via just that base station (e.g., as in the zone based paging process discussed above). Whereas, if the base station is a relay base station, then the system will provide the initial (ordinal first) page of the WCD via both that base station and the donor base station that provides the relay base station's wireless backhaul connection.

  • Patent number: 9918321
Abstract: A method of operating a multi-band wireless base station to optimize traffic management on the multiple frequency bands. The wireless base station determines Upper Side Lobe Suppression (USLS) levels and network loads on the frequency bands. The wireless base station receives a request from a User Equipment (UE) attachment. When the network loads on the frequency bands exceed corresponding network thresholds, then the wireless base station selects one of the frequency bands having a best one of the USLS levels, and attaches the UE to the selected one of the frequency bands.

  • Patent number: 9820162
Abstract: A method of spatial re-use with TPC and adaptive CCA is proposed. A spatial re-use station detects spatial re-use information associated with other peer OBSS stations. The spatial re-use information comprises a TX spectral density (power/Hz) and received signal or interference information of each inter-BSS peer station. The spatial re-use STA determines a TX spectral density based on the detected spatial re-use information. The spatial re-use STA then contends the medium for spatial re-use transmission opportunity (TXOP) with an intra-BSS peer station. Finally, the spatial re-use STA starts spatial re-use frame exchange with the intra-BSS peer station using the determined TX spectral density. By adjusting the TX spectral density, the spatial re-use STA adapts its CCA level to spatially reuse the medium without causing collision and interference to OBSS stations and thus increases network throughput.

  • Patent number: 9681290
Abstract: A user is enabled to change state on a mobile phone through a peripheral device, such as a vehicle or headset. The mobile phone is coupled with the peripheral device by a communication link. Contacts stored by the mobile phone are copied to the peripheral device. The contacts include contact names and corresponding dummy phone numbers. Each contact name and corresponding dummy phone number is associated with a corresponding mobile phone state. A user can interact with the peripheral device to select a contact name of the contacts as if initiating a phone call with the corresponding dummy phone number to cause the corresponding mobile phone state to be activated at the mobile phone. Examples of mobile phone state activations/changes include activating an application in the mobile phone, or activating a particular SIM (subscriber identity module) of multiple SIMs of the mobile phone.

  • Patent number: 9681411
Abstract: A method is disclosed to help register a UE with a different network in the event of an unsuccessful registration with a fallback network. In accordance with the disclosure, a UE may be registered on a first network and may then seek to register with a second network via the first network. The first network may attempt to register the UE with the second network, but the attempt to register the UE with the second network may ultimately fail. In response to such failure, the first network may discontinue providing service to the UE. Discontinuing the providing of service to the UE on the first network may result in the UE seeking to register directly with the second network or with a different network. By registering directly with the second network, or a different network, the UE may be able to initiate and/or receive voice calls via that network.

  • Patent number: 9661144
Abstract: A first group auditory data stream, from a transmitting subscriber device of a first group of subscriber devices or from a dispatch console and intended for the first group of subscriber devices, is received at a conference server. A second group auditory data stream from a transmitting subscriber device of a second group of subscriber devices is similarly received. The conference server determines a relative priority level of one of (i) the first group of subscriber devices relative to the second group of subscriber devices and (ii) the first group auditory data stream relative to the second group auditory data stream, and sets different relative signal gains of the first group auditory data stream and the second group auditory data stream as a function of the determined relative priority level. The two auditory data streams are then summed and forwarded towards the second group of subscriber devices.

  • Patent number: 9654643
Abstract: A first group auditory data stream, from a transmitting subscriber device of a first group of subscriber devices or from a dispatch console and intended for the first group of subscriber devices, is received at a conference server. The conference server determines whether the first group auditory data stream generated for the first group of subscriber devices is of interest to a second group of subscriber devices, and if so, sums the first group auditory data stream with a second group auditory data stream intended for the second group of subscriber devices to form a summed group auditory data stream. The conference server then forwards the summed group auditory data stream towards the second group of subscriber devices and forwards the first group auditory data stream towards the first group of subscriber devices.
