  • Patent number: 11265927
Abstract: A communication device performs a backoff procedure to determine when a first channel in a first radio frequency (RF) band is idle in connection with reserving an aggregate communication channel, which includes a first frequency portion in the first RF band and a second frequency portion in a second RF band, for a frame exchange. In response to determining that the first channel is idle, the communication device transmits a first packet that reserves at least the first channel for a first particular time duration. In connection with determining that the first channel is idle, the communication device performs one or more energy level measurements in a second channel in the second RF band to determine whether the second channel is idle. The communication device transmits a second packet that reserves at least the second channel for a second particular time duration in connection with reserving the aggregate communication channel.

  • Patent number: 11258570
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform a method using a status change of a timer associated with a connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) communication session with a base station to trigger a switch from using a first bandwidth part (BWP) to a second BWP as the active BWP for the CDRX communication session. The timer may be an on-duration timer, an inactivity timer, or a retransmission timer. The UE may also alter a monitoring schedule of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in response to detecting the status change of the timer. The second BWP may have a wider or narrower bandwidth than the first BWP, depending on the type of timer and the type of status change.

  • Patent number: 11252096
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for managing network flow state for ongoing flows (connectionless protocol flows and connection-based protocol flows) between client device(s) and a virtual machine using a flow collection data structure (e.g. hash table) having a predefined maximum quantity of ongoing flows that can be managed. When it is determined that the flow collection data structure is managing greater than an acceptable threshold of connectionless protocol flows, at a dynamically adjustable frequency, flow state for more connectionless protocol flow(s) having an unexpired time-to-live are expired. The frequency can be adjusted based upon a rate at which new flows are being created and/or a rate at which flows are being deleted. Also described herein is a system and method in which, at a particular frequency, only a portion of the flows in the flow collection data structure are evaluated in order to minimize impact on packet processing.
