Abstract: A fungicidal detergent concentrate contains a water soluble organic carboxylic acid, a zinc salt, e.g. zinc sulfate, a modified phthalic glycerol alkyd resin wetting agent-dispersant and conventional cleaning additives that function as degreasants, penetrants, surfactants, and the like. Optionally, the composition may contain a bleach, e.g. calcium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide. A method is also provided for removing mold and mildew from surfaces which comprises the steps mixing the concentrate with water and bleach and using the diluted mixture to clean the mold and mildew from the surface.
