Patent number: 5542709Abstract: Individual stylized articles are provided in the form of collectible cards, or display holders for such cards. The articles may be used as stand alone units to present a single collectible card, and are designed so as to be temporarily attached to each other in configurations of choice, and readily assembled and re-assembled to present different arrangements, such as a group of pictures of a team. The article design is applicable to cards showing players from many different sports, for example football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, etc., and allows the collector to group the cards of his favorite players, as in assembling an "all-star" team, or members of a well known team.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 1994Date of Patent: August 6, 1996Inventor: Donald P. Patent number: 5129682Abstract: A business form having a removable label associated with it is made from a paper ply and a piece of transfer tape. The adhesive face of the transfer tape is attached to the paper ply rear face with the side edges of the transfer tape between tractor openings in the paper ply. At least one die cut is formed in the paper ply front face to define, with adhesive from the transfer tape, at least one label, and preferably a plurality of labels. A perforation may be provided in the paper ply at the interiormost edge of the transfer tape, and at the tractor openings most remote from the transfer tape. The paper ply may be the top ply of a multi ply form. During manufacture of the form, the die cut area surrounding the lables is removed to expose the release portion of the transfer tape, and that part of the form remote from the transfer tape, as well as the labels, can be simultaneously printed as the form is fed through a printer utilizing the tractor openings.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1991Date of Patent: July 14, 1992Assignee: Moore Business Forms, Inc.Inventor: Robert E. Patent number: 4961263Abstract: The invention relates to a guide bar having a main member made of solid material for a motor chain saw. The guide bar has two flat sides and narrow edges defining a saw chain path. A cutout extends through the main member of the guide bar for reducing weight. The openings in the main member defined by the cutout are closed by cover plates for maintaining the stiffness and are attached to the main member of the guide bar. A fill body is seated in the cutout with an approximately precise fit and is connected to the cover plates in a force-transmitting manner. In this way, a higher torsion stiffness is obtained while at the same time retaining the reduction in weight.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1989Date of Patent: October 9, 1990Assignee: Andreas StihlInventors: Norbert Apfel, Hans P. Patent number: 4866846Abstract: The cutterhead includes a cutting filament wound on a spool and this cutting filament is adjusted with respect to its effective cutting length in dependence upon the rotational speed of the cutterhead. The switching point for the automatic feed must be precisely matched to the drive speed in order that the desired effective cutting length is maintained. In order to assure the desired effective cutting length, a spring is provided which is adjustable with respect to its biasing force by means of an easily accessible adjusting member. This biasing force is matched to the speed-dependent centrifugal force such that the spool is released at a predetermined speed of the cutterhead.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1988Date of Patent: September 19, 1989Assignee: Andreas StihlInventors: Joachim Hoffmann, Josef Karner, Dieter Angstenberger, Gerhard Zerrer

Patent number: 4711308Abstract: A hand-held tool, such as a hammer drill or chipping hammer, includes a housing with a driving unit for supplying the driving force for the tool with the driving unit generating vibrations. A handle is mounted on the housing and is displaceable in the direction of the main vibration axis. A stop for the forward movement of the handle is provided by an electromagnet. The electromagnet is formed by a yoke, an armature and a magnetic coil and exerts a controlled constant force on the handle and the housing independently of the position of the handle relative to the housing. The electromagnet can be controlled depending on the position of use of the hand-held tool.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1986Date of Patent: December 8, 1987Assignee: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventors: Karl Blaas, Hansjorg Nipp

Patent number: 4694574Abstract: A pipe scraper for scraping the end of a plastics pipe such as a plastics gas main or water main has a framework (10) in which is journaled a helically bladed rotary cutter (14) driven by means of a lever (17). On the shaft carrying the cutter is a pinion (16) which meshes with a larger pinion (19) driving a friction surface roller (21). The cutter is held in a Reed clamp and as the lever (17) is turned it rotates the helically bladed rotary cutter so as to scrape a low angle helical scrape approximating a longitudinal scrape. At the same time the rotation of the roller (21) causes the whole framework to rotate around the surface of the pipe so as to scrape the whole end peripheral surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1985Date of Patent: September 22, 1987Assignee: British Gas CorporationInventor: Alan J. Patent number: 4392303Abstract: A one-piece razor handle molded from resilient plastic has spaced-apart opposing side walls joined at an intermediate location by a neck. The walls diverge upwardly from the neck into upper portions for gripping a blade cartridge, and extend downwardly to a spacer that extends between the lower portions of the wall. The lower portions of the walls, between the neck and spacer, are resiliently squeezable. The neck acts as a fulcrum so that the upper portions pivot outwardly as the lower portions are squeezed inwardly. A base joins the bottoms of the walls extending past the spacer.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1981Date of Patent: July 12, 1983Assignee: Warner-Lambert CompanyInventor: John T. Ciaffone
