Abstract: A system, computer-readable media and computer-implemented method for automated, dynamic capacity planning using HTTP response header fields. The computer-implemented method includes: automatically determining a server workload statistic relating to operation of a server, the server being configured to serve a content item in response to HTTP-formatted requests; automatically determining an expiration value based at least in part on the workload server statistic; automatically updating a configuration file corresponding to the content item with the expiration value; receiving a request for the content item from a requesting device; automatically accessing the configuration file and generating a HTTP-formatted response header incorporating the expiration value; and, automatically transmitting the HTTP-formatted response header and the content item in response to the request.

Abstract: Embodiments of a method for operating a mobile application using backend-for-frontend in a tiered software framework comprises: communicating, by a mobile aggregator, first messages over a wireless communication network with a frontend of the mobile application executing in a mobile device, the messages comprising instructions in Remote Procedure Call protocol; identifying services of the mobile application called by the instructions, the services executing in a cloud network; generating second messages in another protocol compatible with communication in the cloud network; and communicating the second messages to the services. The mobile application includes a presentation layer, an application layer, and a data layer. The presentation layer executes in the mobile device, the application layer executes in a first server in the cloud network, the data layer executes in a second server in the cloud network, and the mobile aggregator does not store any history of the messages.

Abstract: System and methods for delivering geofence geometries to a physical map are disclosed. At least one user device is constructed and configured in communication with a server associated at least one database. The at least one user device receives data regarding a scale unit of the physical map and latitude and longitude of all corners of the physical map. The at least one user device converts the latitude and longitude to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses via communication with the server. The at least one user device queries the at least one database for at least one geofence geometry associated with the IP addresses. The at least one user device decouples the at least one geofence geometry from the at least one database and delivers as an overlay to the physical map.

Abstract: Apparatus for rating download events is described. The apparatus includes a network interface and a processor. The processor, via the interface, monitors one or more download events in which content is downloaded by one or more users. In response to the monitoring, the processor identifies at least one quantitative property of the download events. Based on the property, the processor assigns rating to the download events that is indicative of an estimated user-perceived quality of the download events. The processor then generates an output indicative of the rating. Other embodiments are also described.

Abstract: A system and method for deploying virtual machines in a server farm based on capacity needs of the server farm includes receiving a request to deploy a new virtual machine (VM) in the server farm; determining that a cluster configuration property associated with the new VM specifies one or more parameters for the new VM; upon determining that the cluster configuration property associated with the new VM specifies one or more parameters for the new VM, retrieving at least one of a custom SKU parameter information or custom capacity parameter information for the new VM; and deploying the new VM to the server farm with at least one of the custom SKU parameter or custom capacity parameter.

Abstract: A system for providing memory access is disclosed. In some embodiments, the system is configured to receive at a source server fabric adapter (SFA), from a server, a memory access request comprising a virtual memory address; using associative mapping, determining whether the virtual address corresponds to a source-local memory associated with the source SFA or to a remote memory. If the virtual address corresponds to the source-local memory, the virtual memory address is translated, at the source SFA, into a physical memory address of the source-local memory. If the virtual address corresponds to the remote memory, a request message is synthesized, and the synthesized request message is transmitted to the destination SFA using a network protocol.

Abstract: Disclosed are apparatuses, systems, and techniques that improve efficiency and decrease latency of remote direct memory access (RDMA) operations. The techniques include but are not limited to unified RDMA operations that are recognizable by various communicating devices, such as network controllers and target memory devices, as requests to establish, set, and/or update arrival indicators in the target memory devices responsive to arrival of one or more portions of the data being communicated.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for improving remote direct memory access (RDMA) performance. A method for improving RDMA performance occurs at an RDMA node utilizing a user space and a kernel space for executing software. The method includes posting, by an application executing in the user space, an RDMA work request including a data element indicating a plurality of RDMA requests associated with the RDMA work request to be generated by software executing in the kernel space; and generating and sending, by the software executing in the kernel space, the plurality of RDMA requests to or via a system under test (SUT).

Abstract: Examples provide a cloud-based distributed secure shell (SSH) file transfer protocol (SFTP) server system for responding to client requests. A load balancer assigns client requests to available SFTP servers within the cloud based distributed SFTP server cluster. Each SFTP server is hosted on an individual VM associated with a cloud server. An authentication service authenticates the client requests using a single user profile. A registry table on a first cloud storage maintains metadata describing all the data records stored within a second cloud storage. The registry table and the data records are accessible to all the SFTP servers within the server cluster. In this manner, any server within the cluster can authenticate a user and respond to a client request while providing a seamless and uniform user experience while simultaneously reducing resource usage and improving scalability.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for generating multiple IP addresses in a wireless network by a system (100). The method includes receiving user request to generate multiple IP addresses of at least one network element. Further, the method includes retrieving the IP address template corresponding to the at least one network element from a database (120) based on the user request, wherein the IP address template comprises a plurality of network parameters corresponding to positionally encoded bits of an IP schema. Further, the method includes generating the multiple IP addresses of the at least one network element based on the set of user defined labels, the count of the multiple of IP addresses of the at least one network element, the IP address template and the IP schema. Further, the method includes displaying the generated multiple IP addresses of the at least one network element.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods to enable users to access content authorized to other users. A method for accessing content may include receiving an access activation request from a primary device or a primary user account corresponding to a content item accessible by the primary user account, generating an access identifier corresponding to the content item, where the access identifier identifies the content item and includes access information, receiving an access request including the access identifier from a secondary device or a second user account, determining that the access identifier is valid, and delivering the content item to the secondary device.

Abstract: An edge device for distributed processing of unprocessed edge data from any number of edge data collection devices using an analytics framework includes a storage device for storing the unprocessed edge data; and a processor. The processor obtains the unprocessed edge data from an edge data collection device of the edge data collection devices; identifying a processing modality for the unprocessed edge data; processing the unprocessed edge data based on the processing modality using, at least in part, a virtualized desktop infrastructure connection between the edge device and a backend device operably connected to the analytics framework to obtain a processed edge data result; and providing a computer implemented service using the processed edge data result.

Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide methods, apparatuses, systems, computing devices, and/or the like that are configured to enable effective and efficient predictive document recommendation in collaborative document server systems. In one example, a method comprises generating a recommended collaborative document set for a primary collaborative document using a cross-document correlation model that is characterized by a temporally correlated document viewing sequence set and a cross-user correlation model that is characterized by a qualifying user relationship set.

Abstract: A system includes a first processing device and a second processing device, each of which is coupled to a NIC implemented with an RDMA interface. The NICs are capable of rendezvous flows of RDMA write exchange. In an example where the first NIC is at the sender side and the second NIC is at the receiver side, a rendezvous flow is initiated by an execution of a RDMA write operation by the second NIC. The second NIC provides at least an address of a buffer in the second processing device to the first NIC through the RDMA write operation. Then the first NIC initiates a RDMA write operation to send data in a buffer in the first processing device to the second NIC. The second NIC may acknowledge receipt of the data with the second NIC. The second NIC can update a CI of the WQE based on the acknowledgement.

Abstract: A scanner redirection method includes the steps of: receiving from an application running on a host server, a request for scanner properties; acquiring properties of the physical scanner; converting the properties of the physical scanner that are described according to a first scanning protocol to properties of the physical scanner that are described according to a second scanning protocol; transmitting the properties of the physical scanner that are described according to the second scanning protocol to the application; in response to detecting a user selection made on an image of a user interface, transmitting the user selection to the application; and in response to the user selection, receiving from the application, a request for a scanned image, and transmitting a request to an image capture core to acquire the scanned image from the physical scanner.

An example apparatus includes at least one processor, and memory including instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to at least generate a composition for an edge service in the edge environment, the composition representative of a first interface to obtain the telemetry data, the telemetry data associated with resources of the edge service and including a performance metric, generate a resource object based on the performance metric, generate a telemetry object based on the performance metric, and generate a telemetry executable based on the composition, the composition including at least one of the resource object or the telemetry object, the telemetry executable to generate the telemetry data in response to the edge service executing a computing task distributed to the edge service based on the telemetry data.

Abstract: A scanner redirection method for a remote desktop system that includes a client computing device that has running therein a scanner redirection module, and a host server, the scanner redirection module including a data source manager for communicating with a data source that is configured to communicate with a physical scanner, includes the steps of: receiving from an application running on the host server, a request for a scanned image; in response to the request for the scanned image, transmitting to the data source a request to acquire the scanned image from the physical scanner; and upon receiving the scanned image from the data source, transmitting the scanned image to the application.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing workspace configuration recommendations in hoteling environments are described. In an embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: receive telemetry data from a plurality of client IHSs, where the telemetry data comprises integrated device data and workspace device data. The program instructions may, upon execution, further cause the IHS to identify, for a client IHS, a workspace configuration recommendation usable in a selected one of a plurality of workspaces based, at least in part, upon the telemetry data, and to transmit an indication of the recommendation to the client IHS.

Abstract: Technologies for enabling downstream components to update upstream states in streaming pipelines are described. One method of a first computing device receives a remote promise object assigned to a first serialized object from a second computing device in the data center over a network fabric. The remote promise object uniquely identifies a first contiguous block of the first serialized object stored in a memory associated with the second computing device. The method obtains contents of the first contiguous block and sends contents of a second serialized object back to the second computing device to release the remote promise object.
