  • Patent number: 11979565
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method, an apparatus, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for video decoding. The apparatus can include processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to receive an image or video comprising one or more blocks. The processing circuitry can decode a first post-filtering parameter in the image or video corresponding to the one or more blocks to be reconstructed. The first post-filtering parameter applies to at least one of the one or more blocks and has been updated by a post-filtering module in a post-filtering neural network (NN) that is trained based on a training dataset. The processing circuitry can determine the post-filtering NN in a video decoder corresponding to the one or more blocks based on the first post-filtering parameter. The processing circuitry can decode the one or more blocks based on the determined post-filtering NN corresponding to the one or more blocks.

  • Patent number: 11979593
Abstract: Method and apparatus for affine CPMV or ALF refinement are mentioned. According to this method, statistical data associated with the affine CPMV or ALF refinement are collected over a picture area. Updated parameters for the affine CPMV refinement or the ALF refinement are then derived based on the statistical data, where a process to derive the updated parameters includes performing multiplication using a reduced-precision multiplier for the statistical data. The reduced-precision multiplier truncates at least one bit of the mantissa part. In another embodiment, the process to derive the updated parameters includes performing reciprocal for the statistical data using a lookup table with (m?k)-bit input by truncating k bits from the m-bit mantissa part, and contents of the lookup table includes m-bit outputs. m and k are positive integers.

  • Patent number: 11979740
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for securing transmission of sensitive data on an LPWAN network such as LoRaWAN. Long-range, low-power transmission may enable a transaction card to communicate with a financial institution server without internet or cellular connectivity. The transaction card may generate a first security key. The key may include a transaction timestamp, a random number generated by the transaction card microprocessor, a personal identifier received at the transaction card from a user, one or more card parameters, and/or any suitable factors. A long-range, low-power network server may detect the card transmission. The server may retrieve the card parameters and personal identifiers stored in association with a user account during card registration. The server may generate a second security key. Based on a match between the first security key and the second security key, the server may authenticate the transmission.

  • Patent number: 11974809
Abstract: A non-mydriatic, non-contact ultra-widefield fundus (u-WF) photographic imaging system and method are provided for performing u-WF photographic imaging of the eye. The non-mydriatic, non-contact u-WF photographic imaging system includes an illumination system that delivers trans-pars-planar illumination to the eyeball. This frees the entire pupil to be used for imaging. Freeing the entire pupil to be used for imaging allows a u-WFC of the non-mydriatic, non-contact u-WF photographic imaging system to use a relatively simple optics system to capture an ultra-wide FOV. Eliminating the need to dilate the pupil and the need to make contact with the eye while performing imaging eliminates the many problems associated with mydriatic, contact-mode fundus imaging systems and methods. In addition, the system can be implemented in a way that makes it highly suitable for telemedicine applications in underserved areas where clinics and trained healthcare providers may not be available.

  • Patent number: 11963155
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for sharing resources of a wireless medium. Particular implementations relate more specifically to coordinated AP (CAP) time-division-multiple-access (TDMA) and orthogonal-frequency-division-multiple access (OFDMA) techniques for sharing the time or frequency resources of a transmission opportunity (TXOP). According to such techniques, an AP that wins contention and gains access to the wireless medium for the duration of a TXOP may share its time or frequency resources with other selected APs. To share its resources, the winning AP may partition the TXOP into multiple time or frequency segments each including respective time or frequency resources representing a portion of the TXOP, and allocate each of the time or frequency segments to itself or to one of the selected APs.
