  • Patent number: 11180937
Abstract: A hood latch device may include a base having therein an insertion recess to receive a striker, a claw lever rotatably mounted to the base, the claw lever rotatable by the striker inserted into the insertion recess to surround and restrict the striker, a pawl lever rotatably mounted to a portion of the base, the pawl lever to restrict a rotation of the claw lever so that a rotational position of the claw lever corresponds to one of a first-stage locking state and a second-stage locking state depending on a contact position with the claw lever, a release lever rotatably mounted to the pawl lever to be rotated with the pawl lever, and an operating mechanism mounted to the base, the operating mechanism including a lever-rotating device to be rotated by receiving torque from a driving motor and to selectively rotate one of the claw lever and the pawl lever.

  • Patent number: 11168495
Abstract: A vent stop includes: a housing; a tumbler; a biasing member having a first portion secured to the tumbler and a second portion in movable contact with a housing track, to selectively bias the tumbler. Movement of the second portion along the track is coordinated with sequential pivoting of the tumbler between extended, retracted, partially extended, and intermediate positions. In the extended position, a tumbler bearing surface limits opening of the sash member. When toggled from the extended position to the retracted position and subsequently released, outward bias of the tumbler is limited to the partially extended position by contact of the second portion with a track recess. Subsequent contact of the sash member with the deflection surface causes pivoting from the partially extended to the intermediate position, permitting unrestricted sash member opening, release of the second portion from the contact point, and biasing back toward the extended position.

  • Patent number: 11149469
Abstract: An electric strike system including a housing, a keeper, an actuator, and a plurality of ramp members. The keeper is pivotally mounted to the housing, and is pivotable about a longitudinal axis between a closed position and an open position. The actuator is operable to selectively retain the keeper in the closed position. Each ramp member is operable to be mounted to the housing and includes a corresponding and respective channel. The plurality of ramp members includes a first ramp member and a second ramp member. With the first ramp member mounted to the housing, the channel of the first ramp member has a first longitudinal position relative to the housing. With the second ramp member mounted to the housing, the channel of the second ramp member has a second longitudinal position relative to the housing. The second longitudinal position is different from the first longitudinal position.

  • Patent number: 11118376
Abstract: A sash window fastener includes: a latch assembly; a lock assembly mounted upon the meeting rail; and a stop assembly mounted to the master frame. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to engage a keeper on the master frame to lock the window, and a pivotable follower arm, which interconnects with the latch assembly within the meeting rail, so cam rotation that drives arm rotation also causes translation of the latch. The cam occupies: an extended position to secure the cam to the keeper, with the latch tongue engaging the master frame to prevent tilting, also being positioned below a stop assembly protrusion to redundantly lock the window; a first retracted position permitting sliding of the window; and a second retracted position permitting tilting of the sash window. A slidable stop on the stop assembly dampens sliding sash window movement and subsequently acts as a vent stop.

  • Patent number: 11085204
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock apparatus includes a meshing mechanism configured to mesh with a striker, an outside operation switch, an inside handle, a locking and unlocking mechanism configured to be selectively switched to an unlocking state and a locking state that cannot be released based on a door opening operation of the inside handle, a control unit configured to authenticate a transmitter signal and, when the transmitter is situated outside a vehicle, to enable operation of the outside operation switch when authenticated and to disable operation of the outside operation switch when not authenticated and an electric releasing mechanism to release a meshing of the meshing mechanism by the control unit driving a releasing motor to activate operation of the outside operation switch when the control unit authenticates the transmitter outside the vehicle, regardless of the locking and unlocking mechanism staying in the unlocking or the locking state.

  • Patent number: 11078684
Abstract: An electric latch control device includes a mounting member having an engaging end and a locking member pivotably mounted to the mounting member. A positioning member is pivotably connected to the mounting member and is engageable with the engaging end. A restraining member is engageable with and actuatable by a driving device securely mounted to the mounting member. When the restraining member is in a stopping position preventing pivotal movement of the locking member, the locking member is restrained by the restraining member, and a latch of a door lock is restrained in an opening of the electric latch control device. When the restraining member is in a non-stopping position not preventing pivotal movement of the locking member, the locking member is pivotable from a locking position to an unlocking position to thereby permit disengagement of the latch of the door lock from the opening.

  • Patent number: 11072950
Abstract: A closure latch assembly for a motor vehicle closure system includes a power release mechanism and an inside handle release mechanism mechanically connected to an inside door handle. The power release mechanism is used to shift the inside handle release mechanism from a normally Disengaged operating state to an Engaged operating state. In the Disengaged state, the inside handle release mechanism is uncoupled from the latch release chain of components to prevent latch release via actuation of the inside door handle. In the Engaged state, the inside handle release mechanism is coupled for the latch release chain of components to permit latch release via actuation of the inside door handle. The power release mechanism only shifts the inside release mechanism from its Disengaged state into its Engaged state in the event of an emergency condition.
