    Abstract: Approaches are described for release-time-driven (RTD) prioritization of on-board content scheduling and delivery to in-transit transport craft via communications systems. In context of a constrained network, content is scheduled to be delivered to those in-transit on-board media servers in a manner driven by respective release times and other prioritization factors associated with the updated content. Each content is associated with a RTD priority profile that can define a release time, a release priority, and a profile plot for the content. The RTD priority profiles can be used to compute priority surfaces that define priority scores over a multidimensional space for a particular time. A subset of the content can be selected for delivery based on the priority surfaces, and can be scheduled for delivery according to network capacity determinations.

The disclosed system dynamically generates a plurality of separate request queues for tenant computing systems that utilize a shared processing infrastructure to issue electronic requests for processing by various recipient processors (e.g., one or more processing threads) by separating a primary request queue into the separate requests queues based on the tenant computing systems. The disclosed system also generates a plurality of queue order scores for the request queues based in part on a processing recency of each of the request queues and whether the request queues have pending electronic requests. The disclosed system processes electronic requests in the request queues by selecting a request queue based on the queue order scores and processing a batch of electronic requests utilizing a recipient processor.

The vehicle's transceiver may respond to the device of the user with a unique identifier that allows for communication with the vehicle's operator. The unique identifier may therefore allow for message content to be sent directly to a device for the vehicle's operator, or may allow for a service provider to process the message. Additionally, the vehicle's operator may establish privacy settings for communications, which may be utilized to determine whether the message content will be provided to the device.

The transmitting device may modify the transmission puncturing scheme in accordance with prioritizing retransmissions for some cumulative portions of the message ahead of other cumulative portions, such as by granting prioritized cumulative portions of the message relatively earlier transmission occasions in the transmission puncturing scheme.

If a live video is being transmitted as a multicast stream to many devices, rather than each device having a corresponding sliding window buffer in kernel space, each device will share a shared sliding buffer in kernel space. The sliding window buffer size will be at least large enough to stream the slowest connection speed and can be, e.g., multiple times as large as necessary, in case of the issues beyond the worst-case scenario. The system then transmits chunks of the content from the shared sliding window buffer to each of the plurality of client devices.
