  • Patent number: 11486688
Abstract: The level correcting gauge block is a tool. The level correcting gauge block incorporates a stepped structure, a level tool, and a target surface. The level tool is a tool used to identify a plane that is perpendicular to the force of gravity (called a horizontal plane). The level tool is used to determine whether the target surface is parallel (or “level”) to a plane that is perpendicular to the force of gravity. The stepped structure works in conjunction with the level tool. The stepped structure measures the elevation change required to be made to the target surface to bring the target surface to level.

  • Patent number: 11484980
Abstract: The instant-mount aspect of the present invention allows a user to rapidly accurately dismount a mounted CNC calibration device from a CNC work table, and rapidly replace the CNC calibration device to its previously mounted position within 0.0001, in seconds. The alignment aspect of the present invention allows faster and more robust high-accuracy alignment of a CNC calibration device once it is mounted on a CNC work table. The remote nest aspect of the present invention allows rapid re-positioning of a CNC calibration device within a CNC milling machine cabinet in a way that does not disrupt the data connection between the CNC control computer and the CNC calibration device, and allows for utilization of more of the worktable surface during milling operations.

  • Patent number: 11466970
Abstract: A tool, such as a tape measure, including a spring-based retraction system is shown. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to decrease the size occupied by the spring within the tape measure housing, which consequently reduces tape measure housing size providing a more compact tape measure. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to control retraction of the tape measure in a manner that reduces whip or otherwise controls tape blade retraction. Some retraction system embodiments utilize a reduction gear train, and others utilize a compression spring and a transmission system that converts rotational movement of the tape reel to axial movement, which compresses the spring.

  • Patent number: 11415400
Abstract: An example combination tool for marking, measuring, and checking level includes a holder for a marking device (e.g., a soapstone). The holder has a body formed by a first side, a second side, a front side, a back side a top side, and a flat bottom side. A securement releasably secures the marking device at least partially within the body. Turning the securement in a first direction tightens the marking device within the body of the holder. Turning the securement in a second direction loosens the marking device in the body of the holder so that the marking device slides in and out through an opening formed in the front side of the body to adjust a position of the marking device for use in marking. The example combination tool may also include measuring markings, a level, a clip, and a grip.
