Abstract: A system for inspecting or screening electrically powered device includes a signal generator inputting a preselected signal into the electrically powered device. There is also an antenna array positioned at a pre-determined distance above the electrically powered device. Apparatus collects RF energy emitted by the electrically powered device in response to input of said preselected signal. The signature of the collected RF energy is compared with an RF energy signature of a genuine part. The comparison determines one of a genuine or counterfeit condition of the electrically powered device.

  • Patent number: 11848478
Abstract: The invention compensates for abnormal operating temperatures and/or abnormal behaviors of a holographic metasurface antenna (HMA) that is generating a beam based on a holographic function. The HMA is characterized with different holographic functions for a plurality of operating temperatures and a plurality of behaviors during the manufacturing process. The characterization of the HMA identifies different hologram functions that cause the HMA to generate more or less heat or exhibit more or less abnormal behavior while generating equivalent beams. Further, or more characterizations of a hologram function may be performed remotely after the HMA is installed in a real world environment. An operating temperature and/or a temperature gradient may be detected by temperature sensors physically located on a circuit board for the HMA.

  • Patent number: 11835450
Abstract: Methods and assemblies may be used for determining and using standardized spectral responses for calibration of spectroscopic analyzers. The methods and assemblies may be used to calibrate or recalibrate a spectroscopic analyzer when the spectroscopic analyzer changes from a first state to a second state, the second state being defined as a period of time after a change to the spectroscopic analyzer causing a need to calibrate or recalibrate the spectroscopic analyzer. The calibration or recalibration may result in the spectroscopic analyzer outputting a standardized spectrum, such that the spectroscopic analyzer outputs a corrected material spectrum for an analyzed material, and defining the standardized spectrum. The corrected material spectrum may include signals indicative of material properties of an analyzed material, the material properties of the material being substantially consistent with material properties of the material output by the spectroscopic analyzer in the first state.

  • Patent number: 11747181
Abstract: A method of calculating a time difference is disclosed. The method includes sampling a first ultrasonic signal (r21) to produce a first sampled signal (y1(i)) and sampling a second ultrasonic signal (r12) to produce a second sampled signal (y2(i)). A first time (LEAD_LAG) is determined between a time the first sampled signal crosses a threshold (?1) and a time the second sampled signal crosses the threshold. The first sampled signal is cross correlated with the second sampled signal to produce a second time (SAMP_OFFSET). The time difference is calculated in response to the first and second times.

  • Patent number: 11720092
Abstract: To prevent a delay in detection of a fault and the like and to cut down a load on a management side while making transmission of data appropriate in consideration of importance and properties of each type of the data in a case in which a large amount of data is transmitted from management target apparatuses. Items with high priority are processed first, and items with a low priority are allowed to be thinned out in accordance with priority and a weight that a management system 10 defines for each data item, thereby reducing a load. The thinning out is performed by limiting the number of data items to be processed once in accordance with a load level. Data acquisition intervals and priority for each item are dynamically changed by reflecting the importance of the data of each item and a change thereof. Trends of data and the like distributed using telemetry are observed and are fed back to load control through control using an AI or a rule base.
