Abstract: Implementations of the disclosure provide for queuing portions of the network traffic directed to a migrated guest for both receiving and transmitting at a source of the migration. In one implementation, a method is provided. The method comprises receiving, by a processing device via a network interface card (NIC), a first data packet. The first data packet includes a network address associated with a virtual machine (VM) that migrates from a first host to a second host. The first data packet is queued in a memory buffer at the first host in view of the network address. An indication that the network address of the VM is associated with the second host is received. Thereupon, the method causes the NIC to transmit the first data packet from the memory buffer over a network associated with the VM at the second host.

  • Patent number: 10686581
Abstract: A method for transmit timestamp autocalibration includes generating a calibration pulse for calibrating a transmit timestamp in a transmitting device. The method further includes applying the calibration pulse to a transmit data pipeline in the transmitting device. The method further includes sampling a transmit timestamp when the calibration pulse reaches a timestamp sample triggering location in the transmit data pipeline upstream from an egress point of the transmitting device. The method further includes measuring a latency between a time that the calibration pulse reaches the timestamp sample triggering location and a time that the calibration pulse reaches a location downstream from the timestamp sample triggering location. The method further includes generating an adjusted timestamp based on the measured latency and inserting the adjusted timestamp into a data packet to be transmitted from the transmitting device.

  • Patent number: 10680939
Abstract: Systems and methods of mesh network communication enabling a relay node to autonomously select a packet propagation mechanism. Upon receiving a packet, which may carry an indication for flooding propagation as set by the edge node originating the packet, or carry no specification for any propagation mode, the relay node determines whether the packet is eligible for routing-propagation based on a number of factors, such as whether there is an existent valid route from the source node to the destination node, whether the packet is originated from a friend edge node, and whether a route discovery process has been initiated. Accordingly, the relay node may change the indication to routing propagation and forward it by routing-relaying. Thus, the packet can be propagated over the mesh network by routing propagation, despite the initial setting for flooding propagation as specified by the edge node or no setting by the edge node.

  • Patent number: 10681592
Abstract: When a UE is served by a first radio access network (RAN) and is engaged in a voice call such as a VoIP call, a determination will be made that the UE is at an edge of coverage (e.g., threshold poor coverage) of the first RAN and that there is no other adjacent coverage of the first RAN that could support the voice call. In response, signaling will cause a second RAN to page the UE via the first RAN so as to cause the UE to transition from being served by the first RAN to being served by the second RAN. More generally, when a UE has poor coverage of its serving RAN, another RAN will pull the UE to the second RAN by paging the UE to trigger transition of the UE from to the second RAN.

  • Patent number: 10681397
Abstract: A method of preparing data streams to facilitate seamless switching between such streams by a switching device to produce an output data stream without any switching artifacts. Bi-directional switching between any plurality of data streams is supported. The data streams are divided into segments, wherein the segments include synchronized starting points and end points. The data rate is increased before an end point of a segment, to create switch gaps between the segments. Increasing the data rate can include increasing a bandwidth of the plurality of data streams, for example by multiplexing, or compressing the data. The present invention can be used, for example, with MPEG or AC-3 encoded audio and MPEG encoded video segments that are multiplexed into MPEG-2 transport streams. Also included are specific methods for preparing MPEG video streams and multiplexing MPEG video with MPEG or AC-3 audio streams to allow a receiver to create seamless transitions between individually encoded segments.

  • Patent number: 10673663
Abstract: A physiological information collecting system and a transceiver device thereof are configured to collect physiological information from animal bodies. The transceiver device includes a front-end circuit, a follower circuit, a quadrature delay line and an output circuit. The front-end circuit separates a discontinuous signal into an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal. The follower circuit outputs a control voltage and rotates the in-phase signal by a predetermined phase angle to output a follower signal. The quadrature delay line rotates the quadrature signal by a corresponding phase angle according to the control voltage. The output circuit synthesizes the follower signal and the quadrature signal and outputs a data signal by demodulating the discontinuous signal.

  • Patent number: 10660033
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a UE. A user equipment (UE) may perform an initial access procedure to establish a connection with a serving cell. The UE may then arrange a regular transmission schedule with the serving cell including a discontinuous transmission (DTX) cycle and an acknowledgement schedule. The UE may enter a low power mode and refrain from any transmission during the a sleep interval of the DTX cycle. The UE may then wake up and transmit a message to the serving cell after the sleep interval without performing another access procedure. The UE may perform another access procedure to transmit at times not covered by the regular transmission schedule. For example, if an acknowledgement (ACK) for the message isn't received, the UE may perform another access procedure for retransmission.

  • Patent number: 10652762
Abstract: Enhanced quality of service of a cellular radio access network is provided by monitoring the operation of the network for predicting failures. For each of the predicted failures, a proactive maintenance plan is created and an alternative network configuration determined, in which alternative network configuration the impact of the planned maintenance operations is less than in the current (non-alternative) network configuration. Additionally, timing of the maintenance operations is decided based on a network traffic estimate and the network is automatically reconfigured into the alternative network configuration prior to the selected maintenance operation time. According to an embodiment, the object is achieved by means of a Pre-emptive Maintenance Node (PEM) connected to the telecommunications network, such as to an LTE or LTE-A network.
