Abstract: A roll stand, wherein at least two rolls for forming a workpiece are accommodated in the stand, and wherein a rolling force acting during the forming is supported by the roll stand, wherein the roll stand is produced by means of additive manufacturing.
Abstract: An engine unit includes: an engine that is able to independently inject fuel into cylinders; a cleaning device that cleans exhaust gas from the engine; and a control device that performs low-temperature starting control for increasing an amount of injected fuel when the engine is started at a low temperature. The control device performs temperature increase control for performing fuel cutoff for some cylinders of the engine and increasing an amount of fuel injected into other cylinders after an increase in an amount of fuel in the low-temperature starting control has reached a first predetermined amount when an increase in temperature of the cleaning device is requested while the low-temperature starting control is being performed.
Abstract: An evaluation of the oil level of an aircraft engine tank from doses of oil delivered from another tank by a pump can be checked by comparing the evaluation of the volume provided by a sensor associated with the engine tank with an estimation of the volume extracted from the aircraft rank, either by another level sensor associated with this tank, or directly from the control of the pump. This comparison is made by a module capable of notifying staff of the need to check or maintain the device, and in particular to check if the sensor is operating correctly. Application to aeronautics, in particular to devices wherein a single aircraft tank supplies all the engine tanks.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for an air box configured to cool an engine control unit (ECU) by way of an airstream being communicated to an air intake system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. The air box is comprised of a housing to support an air filter within an interior of the housing. An opening in the housing fixedly receives at least one surface of the ECU to transfer heat from the ECU to the airstream. A mount portion within the housing receives the air filter. A conduit to a clean side of the air filter is configured to be coupled with the air intake system. An inlet to the housing is configured to couple with an air inlet duct of the vehicle so as to direct the airstream into the interior of the housing.

Abstract: A system and method for efficient (e.g., economical) computing in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles is disclosed. A compute manager is configured to receive and schedule compute tasks for execution on computing cores in the vehicle to increase the usage of recaptured energy that would otherwise be wasted due to battery limitations. Vehicle status information such as current battery charge level and current route may be used to determine whether compute tasks can be beneficially executed.
