Abstract: A cable tensioner comprising a winding drum (2) driveable in rotation by means of a handle (12) by the agency of a pinion (10) meshing with a gear wheel (7). The pinion (10) forms part of a non-return device (13, 14). Pressure on the handle (12) releases the drum of the non-return device. According to another embodiment, the non-return device is composed of a worm gear and the drum is released by shifting this.
Abstract: Disclosed is a boat shoe that includes a sole constructed to allow for the flow of water from the interior of the shoe to the exterior of the shoe. The sole includes an innersole which is a removable orthotic with a series of openings through which water can pass. A rubber lasting board, which also has a series of openings to allow to pass through, is positioned between the innersole and a polyurethane midsole. The midsole includes a series of passageways molded into the upper surface of the midsole that direct the water towards the exterior of the shoe. In particular, these passageways lead to the exterior side portions of the shoe so that the water running through these passageways will flow from the interior of the shoe and out through the exterior side portions of the shoe.
Abstract: A plug-in lamp assembly for use as a picture element in an information display screen includes a plurality of low-pressure arc discharge lamps for selectively generating multiple colors, a lamp plug for interconnection and mounting of the discharge lamps, and a lamp socket for plug-in attachment of the lamp plug. Each discharge lamp has electrical leads extending from a first end thereof and a light output region at a second end thereof. The lamp plug comprises a base having spaced-apart electrical connector pins and a cap attached to the base. The first ends of the discharge lamps extend through openings in the top wall of the cap into the lamp plug, and selected electrical leads are coupled to the electrical connector pins. The lamp plug and the lamp socket include openings for directing cooling air over the first ends of the discharge lamps.
