Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for determining a gesture are presented. According to some aspects, disclosed are systems, apparatus and methods for determining a gesture that compares different images and deduces a direction and/or distance based on a relative size change of a palm in the different images. After a reference palm size is registered, subsequent palm sizes are compared to the reference to determine if and/or how much the hand is moving. The hand gesture is determined based on these relative changes in hand movement.

  • Patent number: 9390419
Abstract: Comparing extracted card data from a continuous scan comprises receiving, by one or more computing devices, a digital scan of a card; obtaining a plurality of images of the card from the digital scan of the physical card; performing an optical character recognition algorithm on each of the plurality of images; comparing results of the application of the optical character recognition algorithm for each of the plurality of images; determining if a configured threshold of the results for each of the plurality of images match each other; and verifying the results when the results for each of the plurality of images match each other. Threshold confidence level for the extracted card data can be employed to determine the accuracy of the extraction. Data is further extracted from blended images and three-dimensional models of the card. Embossed text and holograms in the images may be used to prevent fraud.

Abstract: A video analytic system includes a depth stream sensor, spatial analysis module, temporal analysis module, and analytics module. The spatial analysis module iteratively identifies objects of interest based on local maximum or minimum depth stream values within each frame, removes identified objects of interest, and repeats until all objects of interest have been identified. The temporal analysis module associates each object of interest in the current frame with an object of interest identified in a previous frame, wherein the temporal analysis module utilizes the association between current frame objects of interest and previous frame objects of interest to generate temporal features related to each object of interest. The analytics module detects events based on the received temporal features.

Abstract: A dependency indication is signaled within the beginning of a packet, that is, within the adjacent of a slice header to be parsed or a parameter set. This is achieved, for example, by including the dependency indication at the beginning of the slice header, preferably after a syntax element identifying the parameter set and before the slice address, by including the dependency indication before the slice address, by providing the dependency indication to a NALU header using a separate message, or by using a special NALU type for NALUs carrying dependent slices.
