Abstract: A method for optimizing network bandwidth utilization through intelligent updating of network function (NF) profiles includes, at an NF repository function (NRF), receiving, from a first NF that previously communicated with a failed geo-redundant mate of the NRF as primary, an NF heart-beat request message. The method further includes locating an NF profile for the first NF in an NF profiles database maintained by the NRF. The method further includes computing an NF profile data modification detection value for the NF profile. The method further includes transmitting the NF profile data modification detection value to the first NF.

Abstract: According to some aspects, methods and systems may include receiving, by computing device from one or more client devices, a plurality of requests for one or more content items formatted in a first format and determining whether to multicast the one or more content items based on a data structure configured with one or more conditions associated with multicasting content. The methods and systems may also include transmitting, to the one or more client devices, the one more content items via one or more multicast streams if the requests meet a first condition of the one or more conditions. The methods and systems may also include formatting the one or more content items in a second format prior to the transmitting if network resources fail to meet a second condition of the one or more conditions.

Abstract: Techniques for delivering data or information onto a vehicle and for delivering data off of a vehicle include a data distribution system having multiple interfaces that are fixedly connected to the vehicle, and that provide access to multiple types of data bearers connected to external networks. A bearer selector engine may select a particular data bearer for delivery of data based on a set of selection criteria, which may be indicated in a set of selection rules on-board the vehicle. The selection criteria may be based on bearer characteristics, data characteristics, vehicle operating state and/or other current conditions, priority, a feature or service, and/or user preference. Using one or more on-board networks, data may be generated by an on-board originating device and routed for external delivery, or external data may be delivered to an on-board destination device. Data delivery may occur while the vehicle is en route.

Abstract: A system for simulating a network includes a request processor operably connected to a simulation engine. The request processor receives a request for network simulation data and input data relating to a topology of a network including node data and relationship data with relationship parameters. The simulation engine outputs a stream of event data based on the relationship data to the request processor and generates respective events by determining a source node and a destination node and corresponding relationship parameters, determining an event time, and determining a transfer value.

A touch screen display presents a user interface that provides information about network conditions and configuration settings and a menu for setting and changing configuration settings. Different versions of the user interface are displayed based on whether a user is in proximity to the device. The user interface includes shapes representing user devices, the visual characteristics of which change based on the current network conditions. A health score, which is an evaluation of network performance based on measurements of aspects of the conditions of the network, is displayed in real time. A network management system includes a network management platform for storing network conditions and configuration information and pushing the information to premises networking devices.

Abstract: A method for managing nodes is disclosed. The method includes testing a management script on a management server for managing at least one node. The method also includes receiving administrator validation to distribute the management script. The method further includes sending the validated management script to one or more management servers on one or more networks.

Abstract: Technology for auditing monitors is provided. In one example, a method may include identifying a virtualized computing system to be audited. The method may further include identifying existing monitors on the virtualized computing system for monitoring the virtualized computing system and collecting metrics. The existing monitors may be compared against defined monitors specified in a data store for the virtualized computing system to identify missing monitors absent from the virtualized computing system. The virtualized computing system having the missing monitors may be flagged.

Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically provisioning storage on a blockchain are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes receiving a request that includes a data unit for storage. The data unit may be buffered in a data stack that stores one or more data units. The data unit may be stored in the data stack until (i) a predetermined amount of time has passed and/or (ii) a size of the data stack exceeds a predetermined threshold. The data units stored in the data stack may then be encrypted and included in one or more storage transactions. The storage transactions may also include encryption keys used to encrypt the data units. The storage transactions may then be transmitted to nodes for storage on a blockchain.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method of facilitating routing through a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) defined for an entity. A first edge forwarding node located at a first multi-machine site of the entity, the first multi-machine site at a first physical location and including a first set of machines, serves as an edge forwarding node for the first set of machines by forwarding packets between the first set of machines and other machines associated with the entity via other forwarding nodes in the SD-WAN. The first edge forwarding node receives configuration data specifying for the first edge forwarding node to serve as a hub forwarding node for forwarding a set of packets from a second set of machines associated with the entity and operating at a second multi-machine site at a second physical location to a third set of machines associated with the entity and operating at a third multi-machine site at a third physical location.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for connecting a client of a first network to a service of a second network. The method includes registering the service of the second network. The method then receives, from a client of the first network, a request to communicate with the service, the client not having an address of the service. The method further assigns an IP address to the service and sends the IP address to the client. Additionally, the method sends, to an inter-network hub that connects the first network and the second network, a message in order for the inter-network hub to establish a first tunnel between the inter-network hub and a first gateway associated with the client and a second tunnel between the inter-network hub and a second gateway associated with the service.

Abstract: The disclosed implementations relate to a network monitoring and failover system and related devices and methods. Various implementations include a network having a local area network, a firewall, a server, and an SD-WAN monitoring system. The SD-WAN monitoring system is constructed and arranged to direct network traffic over various network connections according to a set a rules. The system is constructed and arranged to monitor and detect when a primary connection is not performing optimally and automatically route sensitive traffic to a secondary connect to minimize or eliminate network interruptions. The system is further constructed and arranged to automatically transition back to the primary connection when the network issues are resolved.

One aspect involves creating a virtual private cluster within the on-demand center for the particular workload from a local environment. A method of managing resources between a local compute environment and an on-demand environment includes detecting an event associated with a local compute environment and based on the detected event, identifying information about the local environment, establishing communication with an on-demand compute environment and transmitting the information about the local environment to the on-demand compute environment, provisioning resources within the on-demand compute environment to substantially duplicate the local environment and transferring workload from the local-environment to the on-demand compute environment.

A reverse address mapping process for 5G media streaming associated with a content preparation process is identified. A media content address is calculated based on the identified reverse address mapping process. A workflow is generated for the content preparation process based on the calculated media content address. 5G media streaming content preparation is performed according to the workflow of the content preparation process.

Abstract: There is provided allocating cloud computing resources to process a user session by a gateway in a mobile communications network, and allocating the cloud computing resources in pairs to user sessions. Rules for the pair of allocated resources are determined such that incoming control plane traffic associated with the session is forwarded to the both cloud computing resources forming the pair.

Abstract: A method of automatically identifying and recreating tenants environment issues in a set of datacenters by a workflow replay tool is provided. Each datacenter includes a network manager server. The method analyzes, by the workflow replay tool, a set of log files generated in the particular tenant's environment to identify tenant's workflows. The method analyzes, by the workflow replay tool, network manager server databases of the tenant's environment to identify the logical entities in the tenant environment used by the identified workflows. The method allocates resources in a lab environment to simulate the tenant's environment. The method reruns the identified tenant's workflows by the workflow replay tool using the allocated resources in the lab environment to recreate tenant environment issues.
