  • Patent number: 10194985
Abstract: A skin treatment device (100) comprises: —a housing (101); —a treatment action performer (110) arranged within the housing (101) for performing a treatment action on the user's skin (2); —a speed sensor (120) for sensing a relative speed between the housing and the user's skin; —a speed feedback signalling device (400); —a control device (140) receiving an output signal from the speed sensor. The control device controls the speed feedback signalling device if the output signal received from the speed sensor is outside a tolerated displacement speed range (R). The tolerated displacement speed range is adapted to the skills of the user to move the device over the skin surface with a constant speed. If the user's skills are relatively low, the control device increases the magnitude of the tolerated displacement speed range.

  • Patent number: 10194865
Abstract: A system for detecting bioelectrical signals of a user comprising: a set of sensors configured to detect bioelectrical signals from the user, each sensor in the set of sensors configured to provide non-polarizable contact at the body of the user; an electronics subsystem comprising a power module configured to distribute power to the system and a signal processing module configured to receive signals from the set of sensors; a set of sensor interfaces coupling the set of sensors to the electronics subsystem and configured to facilitate noise isolation within the system; and a housing coupled to the electronics subsystem, wherein the housing facilitates coupling of the system to a head region of the user.

  • Patent number: 10143521
Abstract: A skin treatment device (100) comprises: —a housing (101); —a treatment action performer (110) arranged within the housing (101) for performing a treatment action on the user's skin (2) through an output window (103); —a speed sensor (120) for sensing a relative speed between the housing and the user's skin; —a control device (140) provided with an associated memory (141) containing information defining a desired displacement speed, the control device receiving an output signal from the speed sensor; —an optical speed deviation indicator system (400; 600) comprising a position reference (411; 101) and means for generating an optical spot (412; 612) of variable position with respect to the position reference. The control device controls the optical speed deviation indicator system on the basis of the output signal received from the speed sensor and the information in its memory.

  • Patent number: 10137311
Abstract: A portable light therapy device configured to be worn by a patient proximate the eyes includes a front frame including a pair of eye frame sections coupled to each other by a bridge. The bridge is supported on a nose of a patient when worn such that each eye frame section is positioned in front of a respective eye of the patient. A pair of side frames is coupled to opposing ends of the front frame such that, when the device is worn, the side frames extend generally perpendicularly to a plane defined by the front frame. A pair of light modules are each attached to a respective one of the side frames. Each light module includes a light source that emits light and a battery that provides power to the light source, wherein light emitted by each light source is directed into a respective eye of the patient.
