Abstract: A scheduling system and method for data cleansing may be used to optimize clinical scheduling. The present disclosure describes receiving clinical record data, in an agnostic manner, from a system including a source scheduling database containing the clinical record data; mapping the clinical record data to a desired format; conforming the clinical record data to standardized scheduling elements of the scheduling system; cleansing, in a manner configurable by a user, the clinical record data to purge portions of the clinical record data; providing the clinical record data to an optimization engine for optimization of the clinical record data; optimizing the clinical record data by applying configurable logic to the clinical record data; and uploading one or more newly defined optimized scheduling templates via an outbound connection back to the scheduling system.

Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a method for data profiling incorporating an enterprise service bus (ESB) coupling the target and source systems following an extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) process for a target system and a source system is provided. The method includes receiving baseline data profiling results obtained during ETL from a source application to a target application, caching the updates, determining current data profiling results within the ESB for cached updates, and triggering an action if a threshold disparity is detected upon the current data profiling results and the baseline data profiling results.

The questionnaire comprises a data structure common to at least two service providers. The processing device is configured to manipulate the questionnaire and answers. The questionnaire pertains to viewer preferences, demographics, and interests (PDI) information.

Abstract: A database server exploits the power of compression and a form of storing relational data referred to as column-major format, to store XML documents in shredded form. The column values that are to be stored for shredded XML documents are separately analyzed for a XML document to determine whether to store a particular column in column-major format or row-major format, and what compression technique to use, if any.

Abstract: Data reduction in a storage system comprises determining attributes of data for storage in the storage system and determining expected data reduction effectiveness for the data based on said attributes. The parser and categorizer identifies a purpose for the information and categorizes the information. The calendar module generates calendar items for pre-existing appointments. The appointment manager makes appointments for users either automatically or after receiving user authorization. The graphical user interface engine generates a user interface for registering with the organizing application and viewing emails, calendar items, alerts and other gadgets.

The aggregation of data states is selectively updated by updating an affected slice of the aggregation of data states. Once tagged, the content may be searchable, indexable, and retrievable in order to provide that content to an end user or another recipient.
