Abstract: A patient interface comprises a blower, a cushion for contacting a user's face, and a mask body and/or a frame for supporting the cushion on a user's face. The cushion and/or the mask body or frame define an interior space for receiving a flow of gases from the blower. The blower is mounted to the mask body or frame so that the blower is at least partially within the mask body or frame. The blower substantially separates a high pressure side of the mask body or frame from a low pressure side of the mask body or frame and/or the mask body or frame is substantially without a wall between the blower and the interior space.

Abstract: A chemical cartridge or an oxygen generating breathing apparatus includes an outer canister and an inner canister with an interior space. At least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide that can act as an electrolyte in the presence of moisture and at least one first metallic material are provided in the interior space of the inner canister. At least one second metallic material is provided between the inner canister and the outer canister or is at least partially integrated into the outer canister wall. Between the inner canister including the first metallic material and the outer canister including the second metallic material an ion-permeable material is arranged such that the cartridge generates electrical power when in use by creating a potential between the first metallic material and the second metallic material when the at least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide is contacted by CO2 and moisture.

Abstract: An oral irrigator has a first liquid container, a nozzle outlet, a pump driven by a drive to pump liquid from the liquid container to the nozzle outlet so that a liquid jet is emitted via the nozzle outlet, a first switch arranged so that the drive is powered when the first switch is actuated once and the oral irrigator is switched into an ON state, and so that powering of the drive is stopped and the oral irrigator is switched into an OFF state when the first switch is actuated once again, and a second switch arranged so that the drive is powered only while the second switch is continuously actuated by the user and powering is stopped when the second switch is released.

Abstract: A face and neck cover includes a fabric tube having an inner surface and a droplet filter attached to the inner surface. The droplet filter includes a first filter layer, a second filter layer joined to the first filter layer along a first fold, and a third filter layer joined to the first filter layer along a second fold. The third filter layer is in contact with the inner surface of the fabric tube. A first filter pocket for holding an optional removable filter medium is formed between the second filter layer and the third filter layer. A second filter pocket is formed between the third filter layer and the inner surface of the fabric tube. The first, second, and third filter layers are preferably integrally formed from one continuous sheet of fabric folded and attached to the fabric tube.
