  • Patent number: 11914341
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-assisted method for generating a control data set for an additive layer manufacturing device. In a first step, a layer data set is accessed, wherein points are marked in the data model which correspond to an object cross-section and at which the bid-up material should be solidified. In a second step, the layer data set is modified in such a way that for at least a portion of the object cross-section, the number of beams required for solidifying the build-up material inside said portion is determined preferably automatically, according to quality specifications of the portion and/or a manufacturing time of the object. In a third step, the modified layer data set is provided as a control data set for the additive layer manufacturing device.

  • Patent number: 11846934
Abstract: A hyperconverged industrial process control architecture is disclosed for controlling an industrial process within a physical process environment using a software-defined distributed control system (DCS) environment. The software-defined DCS environment may be implemented by virtualizing the hardware components of a DCS architecture on a server group to enable both software-defined process controllers and back-end DCS applications to run within the server group. This software-defined DCS network architecture reduces the hardware requirements of the process control system and reduces configuration complexity by implementing control components and higher-level components within a common environment within the server group.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for process schedule reconciliation receives a scheduling model and an initial schedule for reconciliation, where the initial schedule includes projected plant data. Current plant data is imported into the system. The current plant data and projected plant data is processed using mathematical modeling techniques to identify event boundaries, stream flowrates associated with tanks and process units. The system builds an optimization model applying identified event boundaries, stream flowrates and pre-determined constraints along a period of time that includes priority slots to reconcile the projected plant data of the initial schedule with the current plant data, and then solves the optimization model to develop a reconciled schedule.
