  • Patent number: 5427538
Abstract: A device electrically interconnects a high voltage cable to a bushing of a deadfront electrical apparatus or switchgear. The device comprises a feed-through bushing and a separate U-member. The U-member can be installed onto, or removed from, the bushings without having to disconnect the ground. A driver mechanism applies a force to the U-member at a location substantially midway between two parallel legs of the U-member for installing or removing the U-member without cocking of the legs. The U-member carries female contacts which are engageable with male contacts of the bushings.

  • Patent number: 4968194
Abstract: A hand crank for use on a drill press mounted chuck during a tapping operation. The crank comprises a body having an aperture which permits the crank to be installed on and in surrounding relationship to the drill press chuck body. A spring biased pin enters into the wrench anchor hole of the chuck body to secure the crank to the chuck. The illustrated crank has four equally spaced radial arms.

  • Patent number: 4954092
Abstract: An electrical contact unit electrically connects a first main member, e.g., a camera housing, with a second main member, e.g., a camera lens, which is mountable on the first main member. The first main member is provided with a contact cradle, which has first electrical contacts, e.g. pins, and a rolling or sliding member. The contact cradle is rotatably mounted on a cradle axle. The second main member is provided with second electrical contacts and a receiving recess. When the second main member is in a first mounting position, it presses against the rolling or sliding member so that the contact cradle assumes a retracted position, in which none of the first electrical contacts are in contact with the second main member.

  • Patent number: 4705435
Abstract: A coolant and lubricant is supplied to the cutter head through the shank of a reamer. For this purpose an axial channel extends through the reamer shank and encloses in its front part a conical screw used for adjusting the cutter head and whose threaded shank has at least one longitudinal slot, so that the coolant and lubricant passes through the threaded shank into a ring channel in the front region of the reamer. The coolant and lubricant flows from said ring channel via outlet channels between the cutters. The outlet channels slope outwards in the direction of the leading edge of the cutters, so that an optimum cooling and lubrication of the latter is obtained.

  • Patent number: 3971111
Abstract: An apparatus for transferring and finishing items cast several at a time in a chill mold which comprises a conveyor for cooling the items connected at its upper end to a means of transfer of the items from the output of a casting machine and below to a means of transfer which feeds a turntable on which the items are selectively mounted for their machining while passing before a turning unit and a broaching unit. In a preferred embodiment the present invention is utilized for transferring and finishing pistons.
