  • Patent number: 10382295
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for network monitoring and analytics are disclosed. The methods, systems, and apparatus for network monitoring and analytics perform highly probable identification of related messages using one or more sparse hash function sets. Highly probable identification of related messages enables a network monitoring and analytics system to trace the trajectory of a message traversing the network and measure the delay for the message between observation points. The sparse hash function value, or identity, enables a network monitoring and analytics system to identify the transit path, transit time, entry point, exit point, and/or other information about individual packets and to identify bottlenecks, broken paths, lost data, and other network analytics by aggregating individual message data.

  • Patent number: 10367621
Abstract: A wireless device may transmit a data block based on a low latency operational mode. The device may then transmit a number of redundancy versions of the data block prior to determining whether an acknowledgement (ACK) has been received. In some examples the ACK may be an augmented ACK, which may be based on the number of redundancy versions received prior to successfully decoding the data block, and which may include an additional resource request. In some examples, the device may select an updated modulation and coding scheme (MCS) based on the augmented ACK. In some examples, the device may increase a number of frequency resources (e.g., component carriers) used for transmission based on the augmented ACK.

  • Patent number: 10356721
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, devices, and techniques for selecting a device in an environment to act as a communication hub for other devices in the environment. For instance, an environment may include two or more devices that are configured to communicate with one another as well as with remote resources (e.g., Internet-available resources, etc.). In one example, the devices each include a first radio configured to communication over a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a second radio configured to communicate over a short-range wireless communication network, such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave, or the like. A device having a highest battery life may be selected as the communication hub for the devices, such that the other non-hub devices may therefore route messages through the hub using their short-range radios. In addition, the non-hub devices may power off their WLAN radios, thus conserving battery life of these devices.

  • Patent number: 10298416
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and system for processing a first layer two packet converting a first layer two packet to a first unicast layer two packet at a wireless access point. The wireless access point receives first one or more layer three packets and extracts a first layer two packet from the first one or more layer three packets. If the first layer 2 packet is a multicast packet and it satisfies the predefined rule, the first layer two packet is converted to a layer two unicast packet with a first destination address and send to a Local Area Network (LAN) network interface. If the first layer two packet does not satisfy the predefined rule, it is broadcast to one or more LAN network interface. When the first layer two packet is not a multicast packet, it is sent to its corresponding destination address through one or more LAN network.
