Abstract: This application provides a beam information obtaining method and an apparatus, relates to the field of communications technologies, and resolves a problem that resources of positioning reference signals are wasted because the positioning reference signals need to be omnidirectionally sent because of an unknown direction, of a terminal, caused by use of a beam, when the terminal is positioned in, e.g., a 5G system. The method in this application resolves the problem and saves overheads of sending a reference signal. The method includes: The terminal receives a beam information request sent by a location management device, where the beam information request is used to request the terminal to provide measurement information of a downlink beam. The terminal obtains beam information, where the beam information includes information about a reference signal that is sent by at least one network device and that is measured by the terminal.

Abstract: A converter is configured for connecting between a solar cell and an inverter configured to convert direct-current power output from the solar cell into alternating current power, and the converter is configured to increase the potential-to-ground at the negative terminal of the solar cell to greater than the potential-to-ground at the negative terminal of the inverter when outputting the direct-current power generated by the solar cell to the inverter side.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for handling die carriers are disclosed. In one example, a disclosed apparatus includes: a load port configured to load a die carrier operable to hold a plurality of dies into a processing tool; and a lane changer coupled to the load port and configured to move at least one die in the die carrier to an input of the processing tool and transfer the at least one die into the processing tool for processing the at least one die.

Abstract: An ampoule opener has an opening unit and a cover unit. The opening unit is a rigid frame and has two panels, two head-clamping holes and two pairs of wave-shaped flanges. The panels are respectively an upper panel and a lower panel. The head-clamping holes are elongated in length and tapered in width and are respectively formed through the panels. The pairs of wave-shaped flanges are formed between the panels and the head-clamping holes. The cover unit is flexible, is detachably mounted around the opening unit and has two covering boards, a mounting recess, two body-clamping holes and two pairs of wave-shaped edges. The body-clamping holes are elongated in length and tapered in width and are respectively formed through the mounting boards and communicate with the mounting recess. The pairs of wave-shaped edges are formed between the mounting boards and the body-clamping holes.

An electronic device may include a first 2D atomic crystal layer; a second 2D atomic crystal layer disposed atop the first 2D atomic crystal layer; and an interface comprising van-der-Waals bonds between the first 2D atomic crystal layer and the second 2D atomic crystal layer. A method of forming an electronic device may include depositing a first 2D atomic crystal layer; and depositing a second 2D atomic crystal layer atop the first 2D atomic crystal layer; wherein an interface is formed between the first 2D atomic crystal layer and the second 2D atomic crystal layer via van-der-Waals bonding.

The member or the curved surface, when in an extended state, adjusts motion of a marine vessel. The second end attaches to the marine vessel via an attachment device. The member or the curved surface is convex-shaped such that the member or the curved surface curves outward in a direction away from the attachment device. The support structure attaches to the marine vessel. The support structure includes a scraper plate. The scraper plate is adjacent the member or the curved surface. The member or the curved surface moves relative to the scraper plate while transitioning between a retracted state and the extended state.

Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to execute file management efficiently even if a situation occurs that real data cannot be acquired because metadata in a lower level system cannot be accessed. In a hierarchical storage system, a higher level system acquires available metadata range information indicative of available and unavailable ranges of metadata, from the lower level system, and identifies inaccessible files that are in a state that reading of substantial data in accordance with a stub file is impossible on the lower level, on the basis of the available metadata range information. The higher level system manages this inaccessible file information to transmit the information to a client computer or use the information to control a file access request from the client computer (see FIG. 9).

Abstract: An image destruct material comprises a release layer positioned between an image receiving layer and a base layer. The adhesion between the release layer and the base layer is greater than adhesion between the release layer and the image receiving layer. The release layer material can be used in secure documents that have an image receiving layer. After information is printed on the image receiving layer, an overlaminate is applied over it. Removal of the overlaminate destroys the printed image on the receiving layer because of the relative adhesive properties of the image receiving layer, overlaminate and release layer.

Abstract: A primary account number (“PAN”) of a conventional credit or debit account with a bank or other financial institution is emulated or simulated, which incorporates, in encrypted form, the actual account number. The simulated PAN may also incorporate an amount to be debited from that account. Thus, an account number and an amount are encrypted and mapped into a string of digits which appears to be a valid PAN. The actual account number and the transaction amount are thus embedded in the simulated PAN. The simulated PAN is then processed by existing financial transacting infrastructure, with the issuing bank knowing that it is not a PAN and that the appropriate digits are to be decrypted to provide the embedded account number and the embedded amount.

The central collection system may be configured to received the exhaust gases from the at least one AGSS, with the central collection system being located downstream of the at least one AGSS.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a view of a virtual space to a user in a banner ad of a webpage. This enables an advertiser to provide content that is not merely static or scripted, but instead enabled provision of content through a web ad that represents activity within a virtual space (e.g., interactions of other users with the virtual space, content that changes based on current or recent events, etc.) in real time (or near real time). The provision of a virtual space in a web ad may be more effective than conventional web ad content.

Abstract: A methodology is disclosed for improving searches of a distributed Internet network. A distributed Internet network is searched for a particular information type, searching for a field identified using a predetermined identifier indicating that the field comprises information of the particular information type. When the field identified using the predetermined identifier is found, an association of the contents of the field with the search results is made, and repeated using the same predetermined identifier. Information of a particular information type may then be served in a field identified using a predetermined identifier that identifies the field as containing information of the particular information type.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for scaling an image is described. An image that depicts a device in contact with a user is obtained. The image depicts identifying information that is being displayed on a display of the device. A type of the device is identified based on the identifying information. A size of the device is determined based on the identified type of the device. At least a portion of the depiction of the user is scaled based on the determined size of the device.
